Poor food, absolutely horrendous steak, mostly gristle, that my non steak knife couldn't penetrate!Cold surrounding due to complete lack of any sort of heating.Would have expected at least some form of warmth, though there was only a tiny handful of dinner guests for the whole of the evening. One shining light was the poor girl who had to serve us in these conditions. She did her best. Not a good experience. The Swan could be very good but unfortunately is in the wrong hands!

Cold as heating broken down and log burner has broken glass so unable to use. My husbands steak was very chewy but told they are looking to change supplier. Great service by young lady but would not recommend.

Not been in since COVID as prior it was getting tatty and the food hit and miss. Popped in yesterday for a drink and ended up having 5 and food.Nice layout, dog friendly in the bar area. Wide range of drinks and food menu was varied and reasonable price. Will be going back for sure.

Went to the Swan for Burns night as they were offering a 4 course menu for the occasion. Left very satisfied as all courses were tasty and good size portions too! Also, the staff was very friendly and attentive in recommending drinks. Would definitely come back to try the outside garden which apparently is a great space.

Nice sharing platter for lunch and you don't get many drinks better than a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord

Went yesterday for the first time. Thai was an excellent waitress, very efficient, helpful and friendly. Always good whe you are on a gluten free diet. Very good choice of menu. Typical country pub. Will definitely be going back again.

We attended The Swan for the first time in a while. Decor has been refreshed and it felt clean and modern inside.Due to covid, you are offered table service or ordering through the app. We chose the app but soon realised we didn't have a table number. There are no signs in the tables - these were taken off as 'they cluttered the place'.Starters were muscles/moules and pâté. Both would have benefited from a second slice of bread. We asked for some and were told to order it in the app... We couldn't find it.Onwards to the mains. Sunday lunches were the trio and the roast beef. According to the menu, served pink. From the photos you can see 'pink' left the meat a long while before it got to me. The Yorkshire puddings was incredibly dry and tough, the roast potatoes had an odd taste (Aunt Bessie?). Gravy was good as was the mash. Veggies weren't over cooked and had great bite. I have no doubt they do some great dishes at the Swan - we just had two that weren't
