The Vine At Hannington in Basingstoke and Deane

Lovely lunch. We visited from Solihull whist seeing family. Really friendly staff and delicious lunch. A great pub!

Litter.....devastatingly awful food. I've never written a review in my life. And I've actually written this...which makes me sad. Over cooked steak. Zero seasoning on anything. Litter

Could be a standout pub as its location makes it well suited to capturing a gastro pub clientele, the tables were busy having Sunday lunch but it was understaffed so bar service was slow and only two cask beers (Doom and New Speckled Hen). Exterior shows the impact of loss of trade during covid and I hope it is able to recover. Plenty of garden space and tables with a small tasteful play area so good for families.

Went to The Vine at Hannington 5th March 2022 for our daughters 14th birthday, We have a sen child and from the moment we got there he wasn't having it and had a little wobble. The staff was amazing as interacted with him and allowed him to speak what can take a while for him to get what he means out. The food was amazing and during the meal my son wanted another drink and decided he was going to go and order from the bar, again the staff was amazing and patient. Just amazing staff and place will be coming again.

Going out for Sunday lunch is getting expensive, but we was very please with the Sunday roast, we had the lamb, although a little tuff in places, but you get that with most meats from time to time, the beer was good and so was the price at £14, will definitely go back.

Great pup to go on walks from, we went on Christmas Eve and the staff were so helpful and friendly even right at the end of the Christmas period! There is also plenty of outdoor seating if needed so I’d really recommend it.

Always fantastic friendly service. Varied menu with vegetarian and vegan options. Fab steak and chips, a proper treat.

Exceptional prices,, and very low standards unfortunately. Or put another way,, top class restaurant prices for greasy spoon meal deals !!. Dont bother. Service is good with friendly staff, really let down by the food quality.

Perfect halfway point for rehydration on our circular walk from White Hill. Friendly staff and nicely conditioned ale.
