Had some great food here, the sharing of pork scratchings and cauliflower was great. The lamb for main was perfectly cooked… and the sticky toffee pudding with banana ice cream was different but perfect! And if you have an Electric Car there is even a charing port! Perfect all round foe dinner!

There are plenty of places to get a Sunday roast these days but in my experience the roast at the Wellington Arms is the best. Two of us had the pork which was lovely (don't forget to ask for the apple sauce!) and one of us had the beef sirloin which was also very good. A bit more expensive than a standard rub lunch but worth every penny. The staff are also excellent.

General ManagerWe have for sometime been looking forward to visiting your restaurant. We visited on Saturday 19th March with our friends as we tend to eat out as a group once a month. We can only describe the food as disappointing the starters which was a dough bread was so hard it could break your teeth. My main course was Fish &. Chips well the batter was burnt and the fish was dry, this was sent back to the kitchen and a replacement was brought out. At this point my wife and friends were almost completing there main course. There was side orders which none came out, at this point we just wanted the meal to end.On three separate occasions we had to remind the waiting staff we had drinks on order.the wine choice was poor and your staff quite frankly seamed poorly trained. We took exception to the kitchen staff sitting opposite to us slouching on a chair. Most unprofessional. The manager did apologise and did offer a small discount towards the meal. To top this awful experience we paid for our meal. Then to be accosted by the waitress to say we had underpaid and came back with a completely different receipt of which there was items on it we had not ordered or received. Once again the manager came over and apologised and was blaming a new till system that was having teething issues.Frankly very disappointed.

I have eaten in your place before and enjoyed thoroughly.Recommended to some very good friends who popped in today around 5.30.Very quiet yet they were told no tables were available for them. Then they were told they could eat in the bar and yet again he looked round at the empty tables that he wasn't allowed to sit at.Dare I say because they were black???It's 2022 people.Management if you read these please take action!!!I don't know who it was ,I'm sure you can find out......

Turned up late for a lunch service and staff were amazing, checked that we could be catered for and nothing was too much trouble. Food was great. Facilities all very clean. Will be coming back for sure!

Called in for drinks, nice lounge area, however it was a little chilly, the main dining room had a roaring wood burner... toasty in there. I have eaten here many times and the food is always on point, as is the impeccable welcome and excellent service.

Staff were extremely friendly and we liked that it was dog friendly. Food was okay but quite small portions and a little dry. But they catered really well for vegans, vegetarians and allergies!

Waiting staff were perfect.Management were extremely rude and uninviting, basically told us to leave as he could not be bothered with a happy, fun but yes a a little Lound table for a friends Christmas Dinner. It was an absolute pain booking as they were apparently so full but on the nights were very quiet. Not surprising based on the attitude of the manaent. (specific a guys with long ish hair, didn't bother to ask his name as I would have ended in a debate and me voicing my thoughts)Beef cheeks were great, Turkey was awful, compressed, rolled, dry and tasteless. Had to ask for cutlery at every course. Cheese board, DONT bother, 2 very small slices ofCheese. Mainly rocket and half a roated onion in pastry. DONT BOTHER.

Lovely looking building from the outside. Plenty of parking. I attended a wedding there. Inside the bar restaurant was lovely as well. Nicely decorated. The menu is also quite nice. Food service prior to the wedding was a tad slow, but it was cooked well. Our room was lovely. Nice big comfy bed, all clean and tidy. Lovely big walk in shower. Plenty of room. And the view from our window was beautiful. I would co e hear again to eat and sleep.
