Small restaurant, separate to pub with. Good menu and personalised service. Sunday roast was impressive, fresh vegetables and huge Yorkshire puddings. Cheese and biscuits very tasty.They offer set menus which are great value.

Eat here and you will NOT be disappointed! If you are disappointed, there's probably something wrong with you rather than the food or service. Good potions, good prices, lovely staff.

Whitebait excellent. Tacos and Lasagne very good. Service attentive. Good value for money.

Teally friendly, answered all our questions and the food was delicious. The waffles, chocolate sauce and ice crean was gorgeous. Will definitely go there again.

Nice 'Sunday Roast'.....shame they no longer do a 'set menu'! Their prices have gone up considerably and they now add a 'service charge'! Unlikely to return! Their simplicity was 'their charm'!

The food was excellent- good variety and value for money. One of the best Christmas menus I have seen. The staff were friendly and helpful.Our only complaint was the amount of diners packed into quite a small room - approximately 40 and the largest group were particularly rowdy and with no consideration for the other customers - my colleague was constantly being bumped as they were taking photos etc. We felt this really detracted from what should have been a very enjoyable evening.

The Sunday roast beef lunch was very good value for money . All fresh veg ,beef was tender and tasty , yorkies to die for . Would highly recommend. Will be ordering again .Well done .

First time we have "taken away" from the Bird in Hand and it was superb. It was a special occasion and the food was special too. Terrific value, huge portions and great service. Thank you very much

My wife and I share main meals and today had the Beef Stroganoff and a steak & veg pie (freshly baked pot pie, not a slice). Three things; both meals were extremely tasty and very nicely seasoned with rich sauces; the portions are big (which works well for us when they taste this good and you are sharing) and although many would not notice, every morsel of the beef was gristle and fat free and there was plenty of it.Someone works extremely hard to make 'simple' pub grub become exceptional.Lastly, they do consistently brilliant triple cooked chips, the sort that others strive for but rarely achieve (we ask for them to be extra crispy which is naughty on the waistline but we don't do it that often so what the hell! Lovely country pub in the heart of Sandhurst with genuinely good food.There are two entrances, one is to the restaurant (where we went) and the other to the pub where you get sport screen and a more casual atmosphere.The nice thing is that you can go to either side if you want, but if you fancy a nice meal/restaurant evening, you don't have feel like you are in a sports pub.The decor is a little old fashioned, but the table service was fast and the servers where friendly.I can't recommend the food enough, we had the chicken satay and wild mushrooms on toast for starter and it was amazing.I had the monkfish curry which was beautifully cooked and my husband the seafood platter which was a whole load of fried fish on a dish - maybe not for the faint of heart.But the deserts where definitely the highlight - so good.In total, if you have three courses and no wine, it comes to around £25/£30 a head. So very reasonable when you consider the quality of the food.Will definitely be coming again.
