The Royal Foresters in Bracknell Forest

We were recommended this place by somewhere else that was fully booked for our stay dates. We booked via Booking.com and the price was very fair.There's plenty of parking. Checking in is the same place as the restaurant reception etc. so can be busy. The staff on check in were welcoming, friendly and offered to show us to our room. A very nice touch.The room was spacious (their standard size double) well set out with plenty of storage (except for cases if you were staying longer.) The bathroom was very good - excellent shower - with plenty of towels and bathrobes available.There's a well stocked mini-bar (extra cost) and a good hospitality tray with a coffee pod machine.We ate in the restaurant and, whilst bust and noisy in the bar area where we were sat, the food (and whole experience) was very good. Our waiter (Alex) was very nice.Breakfast was lovely with a wide choice off a menu. LOADS of avocado choice if you like avocado - which I do tbf but my wife doesn't.Personally I'm sure you could find fault - our room wasn't service in the morning (partly my fault as housekeeping did ask if we needed it doing and I probably said no but thought they'd still make the bed etc) and service at breakfast was "relaxed" but some would say slow.We're in the area once or twice a year and in honesty the people who recommended it probably will have got us to stay there in the future instead. ;)A little bit more costly but very enjoyable.

Lovely place to eat. Good choice of fab food, staff and service is also brilliant. And the one thing I really like about this place is that for a meal for two they do not add on an automatic service charge, it is at your discretion. So it makes you appreciate the service more and tip however you feel fit.

Second visit to this pub as it was so fabulous the first time. This place is always busy with people and in high demand, although never struggled for a carpark space, but book ahead. I always have the pizza here as it’s made fresh with a pizza oven. Great vibe and is nice to be sat outside on a sunny day.

Amazing g food and service above and beyond!! Had birthday there Sunday 15th. Third time of going unbelievable experience, no need to go to so called 5 star London places. A BIG THANK YOU to all.

My wife and I went there for an early Friday dinner last night.I can say only one. Great night out. Amazing food, great drinks and perfect service.The Royal Forester give me back hope and belief that food and service still can be great.As lately was only disappointments mainly.Thank you The Royal Foresters.

Went to sit down outside tried to scan that pathetic QR code which doesn't work, no simple menus on the tables looking at the customers inside and some outside many elderly who don't even use 'smartphones'. So I ventured in the pub which was stuffy and busy, staff member advised that they are so busy they won't walk 12 footsteps to bring my breakfast outside. I was happy to quickly order at the reception desk, but nope to much hassle for this lazy rude lot. We're pretty much in May now and wanted to sit outside. No wonder pubs are closing across this country daily when this is the level of service they are offering. I'm local and usual visited many times per week, well you don't want my money so I won't be back.

Lovley big pub with large bar area and spacious restaurant leading to good sized alfresco dining space. Arrival was met with helpful and friendly staff the place was spotlessly clean. The room was a good size, lots of lighting and temperature controls, beautifully presented and again spotless!Dinner was excellent and I highly recommend staying over, I can't wait to come back!

Dinner with friends in the restaurant was a nice experience and the food was tasty. Steak was nicely cooked and a good sized serving. Some of the tables unfortunately use lounge chairs instead of seats which are not comfortable to sit at for a meal.

First the good points, nice room, very clean, friendly staff and a decent breakfast. However as others have mentioned for what is essentially a restaurant with a public bar attached to a hotel the music is nightclub level to almost midnight. Its not the patrons making noise either, its just the level they choose to play the music at, which is completely baffling and unnecessary. We were in a ground floor room 104 and it was like backing on to a DJ booth. The music stopped at about 11.30 PM and we finally managed to get to sleep until about midnight when the fire alarm went off! There is no air con and the room was insanely hot, largely down to the towel rail in the shower room was so hot you couldn't touch it and couldn't be turned off. There is no phone for room service in the rooms so to resolve this would mean getting dressed and heading off to reception which I was far too tired to do. We had one drink in the bar (a larger and a coke £8.60 which is fine) The following morning at check out I was asked how our night was by a member of the management team (Issy or Izzy?) I explained everything that had gone on and she said the fire alarm often goes off when people smoke out of the windows and was very sympathetic, but despite the noise, the heating issue, the fire alarm and the lack of sleep she still asked for my card so she could charge me for the two drinks, which she did without hesitation. Wont use again and will advise my many friends and colleagues who overnight in the area to avoid. Such a shame they couldn't even see fit to offer a gesture of good will in the form of a pint!

A beautiful restaurant, splendid service, and yummy food! One order came out wrong, but it was amended instantly and came out in 5 minutes, so I can't even fault the service and still give it 5 stars overall! Thank you for a lovely experience, would highly recommend and can't wait to come back!5*!
