First time eating here - honestly the best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted! That batter is crispy and gorgeous and the fries are chunky and fresh. Packaging is great too. Do not hesitate, order it now,

The all-new and improved Athena B are serving up incredible food!They are nailing the vegan options (tofish, tofishcake & vegan battered sausage are all awesome).We’re also told by our non-vegan friends that the rest of the menu is great too.And seriously, the chips are probably the best we’ve ever had from a chippy.Get involved!!

I’ve lived in Portslade for about 8 years now and can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve eaten here. I’ve never particularly enjoyed fish and chips before. That was until it got taken over this time. I now eat here a few times a month. The fish is always super fresh, the batter is light and crispy and there’s just the right amount of chips for me in the light bite meal. Also very reasonably priced. Great customer service even at busy times. Love this place :)

Amazing fish and chips!!! Possibly the best in the South coast!!! Fresh and crispy!!! Great staff and lovely owners. Ethically admirable too as feeding homeless people everyday for free.We love supporting this type of small, local and family business. Really well done guys!!!

Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Fish wasn't oily in fact the batter was light and crispy. Loved the salt and pepper squid as well. Staff are super friendly and the music keeps you going while you wait for your order.

This is the best place to get fish and chips in the Brighton area.The fish is very flavourful, the batter is light and crispy and the double cooked chips are fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside.I always get the hove actually chips and they are the best thing on the menu.Highly recommend this establishment

Just had the vegan battered sausage and chips, which were absolutely delicious! Best chip-shop chips I’ve had for years. Great value too. Very impressed!

The customer service was excellent, I enjoyed the aesthetic and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I found the homemade sauces to be exciting and the mushy peas were far better than any I'd had anywhere else. I had the scampi and squid combo and can safely say that it was excellent and I would definitely be happy to come here again.
