New years eve 2022. Had a meal with a friend, the staff could not speak English, couldn't undrstand any questions. Asked for a pint of carlsberg at beginning of night, then got another pint and got half pint, and was told it was a pint. The man did not know what he was talking about. The waiters were very rude , the communication was very poor. Spoilt the evening wont go there again.

Just ordered on uber eats and didn't have a chance to rate directly to the restaurant. We got king prawn biriany and a chicken balti. It was delivered super quick which is not always a good thing as it was awful the biriany was dry, cold and tasted of nothing and the prawns were plain and rubbery and the nan bread was soggy. Really disappointed as it was rated high I just wasted £28!

Down in Hove on a night out with work, just happened that the restrictions were lifted and I got a table for my evening meal, place was empty so Covid didn't really make a appearance the staff kept there distance and were polite, helpful and friendly, I ordered Poppadoms and a Cobra to start the proceedings with a Tandoori Chicken Starter with came out Sizzling and was very enjoyable, for mains I had the Classic Chicken Tikka Balti, Garlic Nann and Plain Rice and as the pictures look it was amazing, really delicious 😋, I'm not local but if I was Ashoka would be my regular place to visit for a Indian, Fully recommended, you won't regret your visit.

Went there with some friends for a evening out on Wednesday evening food was ok, but when I first ordered I asked whether they still do the taste card? The answer was I will find out, no one returned until I asked when asking for the bill and was told we are not doing it any more. I would have been happy if they would have told me this before ordering but was very disappointed being told this after the meal was finished. I will not be returning and would defiantly not be recommending them to any friends in the future. I think this is a very sort sighted thinking to do due to the current climate we are all in.

Service was really good and the dishes well presented and tasty overall. The rice was a bit too "oily" tho. Would go back.
