As a dog owner, I often find it difficult to find restaurants that allow pets. I called beforehand to check, and the staff were so welcoming and said its fine to bring the dog. We arrived and Bev, so kindly asked us if we'd like a bowl of water for the dog which I found so lovely. The fish and chips was really fresh and tasty, served with the option of curry sauce, tartae sauce and mushy peas.So overall , we found the experience at bardsleys, amazing, and if we return to Brighton and in the mood for fish and chips, this is without a doubt our first choice!

Lovely fish and chips, family friendly

Really great, classic fish and chip shop. Slightly hidden away down Baker Street but definitely worth going. Very reasonable takeaway prices and lovely staff.

·

Great fish and chips. The grilled skate in caper garlic butter is my go to. Friendly staff and relaxed. The best in Brighton.

I heard rumors that it is difficult to find a delicious restaurant, although it is famous enough to immediately remind me of fish and chips when I think of the UK.I went on a one-day trip to Brighton, but the place I was originally going to went out of business, so I just went there.I totally recommend it:DFish and chips that I eat for the first time in England. The fish meat was soft and the fried clothes were not thick, so it was good, and the seasoning was not salty. The fried fish, which is also cut with a fork, was soft but not broken, and the fries were crude, but they were light and large in quantity.Above all, the good thing about this place is the employee. Thanks to the female employee who is kind, sweet, and smiles at me from ordering to payment, the late dinner alone became an unforgettable memory for me.If I come to Brighton again, I will revisit. Thank you for making good memories for me.Taste, service, and everything are perfect!

Couldn't find decent fish and chips in Hastings, so drove all the way across to Brighton to Bardsleys. Worth the drive. They tasted superb. A five star rating from me and my family! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hands down the best fish and chips we've had in Brighton. This great place offers eat or takeaway options and not just your regulars but some different fish that you can try. All can be battered, grilled or poached and is all made fresh to order.I had the Cod and chips and it was great. Batter very light and crispy and chips were perfect.Husband and his sister had catch of the day which was seabass. One battered and one grilled (in the pictures). All can be washed down with a wide variety of drinks including local craft beers.Bev our server was amazing. Bubbly and friendly. Really made it a great experience. If your in Brighton and fancy some traditional fish and chips, look no further

Fantastic fish and chips, best I’ve had in a while and definitely the best in the city of Brighton. The batter is nice, flakey, and crispy and the fish is super fresh - you can see the chef cutting each piece fresh before cooking and frying. The ladies serving here are absolutely sweethearts and you can definitely feel the hospitality when you go for a visit.

Delicious food and great service definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great fish and chips spot.

Wanted to try this place as a few articles in the media had listed as ‘the best chippy in Brighton’ ..unfortunately not the best chips we have ever had.. would say they are ‘average - 7/10’. Decent portion size and very friendly staff. Onion vinegar was good. Chips are cooked in vegetable oil - good for vegetarians.
