Billie's Cafe in Brighton and Hove

This cafe is perfect for all moods! There been days when I been so hungover and Billies cafe cured my hangover with incredible hash. There been days where I can’t be bother to cook and want a healthy breakfast and I come here and have egg Benedict (highly recommend!). The staff here is fantastic and always welcoming.

First experience - menu says freshly squeezed oj but not a single "bit" was to be found in my glass. I wanted an oat flat white and if most establishments run out of oat milk they tend to nip to the local store and accommodate your request. I was told no as they were closing soon. Hash was pretty good but I had to watch my boyfriend drinking a nice coffee with his. Was willing to let the pettiness of the first visit go until second experience - admittedly I was 5 minutes late but my food was just left on the side going as cold as the atmosphere in there. The same girl with her head in the clouds served me. My name had been taken wrong, she tried to over charge me £10 for an egg and the way she laughed off over charging me just made me feel like it's a common tactic. Take away portions seem incredibly stingy compared to eating in when they are charging the same price. Overall I won't be going in for a third time.

Their breakfast is massive! the food overall was lovely,just wasn't ready for the hashbrowns to be in small pieces, I could do with normal ones. Nice and quick service. Good experience

Nice little clean cafe with good menu choice. Had mega meat breakfast which looked good and was hot only negative being the bacon was crispy to nearly burnt and the sausages were very tough to cut which is a shame as this is the main 2 items on the plate.

This cafe was by far one of the worst cafes I’ve ever been to where do i start? Well the staff were completely incompetent i was waiting nearly an hour for my food even though it wasn’t busy it was completely overpriced i only had a full English and it cost me over £20 and £3.75 for a can of coke and the food was awful definitely will not be going there again👎🏻

awful and overpriced. fresh orange juice? no, but why not have a small glass of cheap supermarket carton juice for an obscene cost. hash browns? nah, just have a whole plate of squashed potatoes. poached eggs? sorry, we only have these joke ones made out of rubber. Just revolting, the whole place. Complete inability to cook, buy decent ingredients or serve you in a timely manner. I'd rather battle a seagull for a supermarket sandwich. Put me off going out for breakfast ever again.

Have been coming here ages. All I ask for on Sunday is a plain omelette and coffee,which is always catered for. Not today though. Told me explicitly that they don't do omelettes, even though I've been having one every week for more than a year.Well sort out your inconsistent policy, and maybe you won't be so confused as to why I feel so aggrieved.

Really weird rule where customers already seated have the right to tell you if they want you sat next to them or not, the table in question was also outside. Admittedly they we were pretty close, but they were definitely separate tables. When asked if anyone was sitting there, the guy was less than pleasant at the the thought of us taking the table. When i asked the staff what the policy is they said its the customers decision to let us sit there or not. If thats the case then the table thats left empty should have some kind of notice on it to save embarrassment. I am a local but i will not be back.

What used to be a great place for breakfast has really gone down hill. The table was dirty, the toilets were filthy, the waitress was wearing a stained top and the standard of the food was really poor. The ingredients used were cheap tasting too. Generally poor experience.

Epic breakfast with loads of options! Reasonably priced with lovely staff and right next to Hove station, so good for a take away option too. Our breakfast with drinks came to about £22.
