Bottom's Rest in Brighton and Hove

Tucked away but in a quiet area with lots of street sun traps. Great selection of beers and wines including Provence Rose. Friendly staff to boot makes this place well worth seeking out.

Lovely place and nice atmosphere but £11.50 for a double gin with lemonade was really steep! 💸💸💸

Lovely pub, a bit of a hidden gem.

Yum Sunday roast; nice, quiet, calm little pub, secluded behind the Old Market, away from the maddening crowds.

Came upon this pub by accident when out for a walk and really wanted to check it out. Went there for a Sunday lunch and their selection for roasts (meat AND veg option) were great and reasonably priced. The staff were particularly friendly and I'll definitely be heading back

As others have pointed out this place seems like a little hidden gem for locals. It's barely off the beaten track, but needs reviews like this to bring visitor's attention to it. Used to be the go to place after work on a Friday.Has decent ales, great staff, atmosphere and a friendly dog. Music is great, if like me you're of a certain age (music was better in my day, get over it).Since the pandemic it's no longer the "after work" place. It's now my only go to place if I have to be in town (well, to be honest, I also should throw a shout out for the Hop Poles, on Middle Street. For all the same reasons).If you've never visited the Bottom's Rest - you ought to.Well, go on then....

What a meal! I visited Bottoms Rest last night (Wednesday is a burger night) to meet some friends and sample the Indian Street food menu. We tried each of the vegan burgers; Aloo Tiki burger, Hariyali Jackfruit burger, the Black Daal Burger three sides of Mogo Chips, Cauliflower Chilli and Sev Dahi Puri. Each had their distinct flavour. The Hariyali burger and Sev Dahi Puri being distinct favourites of our group. I really enjoyed the meal and service. The food came promptly from friendly staff. We got to meet Jaldee Jaldee owner Fagoon and express how much we enjoyed the food. I'll definitely be back to try one of the Thalis.

We spent a very pleasant early evening at Bottoms Rest pub. Plenty of outside sitting space (it was a warm evening) and delicious Indian veggie and vegan snacks to munch on. Very friendly and obliging staff. Tucked away in a quiet little backwater of Hove - find it and enjoy!

Excellent pub. Awesome food. Lovely staff. Decent range of beverages. Stupidly hard quiz.I have enjoyed many a good evening, and weekend daytime, in this establishment and will no doubt continue to do so. It's off the beaten track which makes it nice and full of locals, myself being one.Come and give it a go, you'll definitely come back.
