Cafe Rouge - Brighton Marina in Brighton and Hove

The food could be nice, but they never get the order right... 3 times out of 4 we ordered from them, they delivered incorrectly. Two of those times vegetarian sandwich was ordered and meaty one was delivered. Consistently frustrating and disappointing.

Was given a Groupon voucher at Christmas for a 3 course meal here. We arrived and the restaurant was relatively quiet which was nice. We placed our food and drinks order and the starters where not long afterwards. Short wait for our mains but it was definitely worth it. I ordered the Crouque Monsieur and it was unbelievably good. The staff were all nice, friendly and relaxed. All round good experience here.

Just had the worst experience of service in my life. Booked a table for 3 for lunch and it took 45 mins to for our drinks to arrive!! 30 mins later they brought our main courses to us before our starters - which had been forgotten apparently!! When we left after our meal several tables that were seated before us hadn't had their mains delivered and others had to ask several times for their drinks. Totally understaffed yet we weren't told this on arrival - we could then have gone elsewhere. Manageress seemed clueless.

Great service, very welcoming lady on the front desk. A super Grand breakfast cooked to perfection. Well done guys, will be back.

Came here the best part of 18 months ago. Food very nice and staff we’re very good as.However I really liked the French atmosphere.If I come back to brighten I would come back to this place again.You also get a sea view which I suppose makes it even better on a nice day.

We had an impromptu meal at Cafe Rouge Brighton Marina, and we had a wonderful meal. The venue was clean and tables well spaced. We were well attended to throughout and the food was delicious. The fillet steak was beautifully cooked, and we will definitely come again.

Excellent attentive, friendly service and delicious food! We were asked three times if we had allergies which makes me feel very comfortable about bringing my daughter next time as she has several. A lovely evening, thank you!

Cold food: Visited on a very quiet evening in the week. Staff were lovely; not over attentive but available when needed. Service was prompt and we didn’t have to wait. Food however leaves loads to be desired. Ordered sirloin steak and although cooked correctly it was so lukewarm that the glob of garlic butter they placed on top didn’t melt at all. The accompany sauce was a bit congealed and also cold. Didn’t have the set menu so this plate of food cost over £22. It was as if the food (bar fries) had been cooked in advance and had been sat somewhere waiting to be ordered. Really wouldn’t recommend eating here. Shame because the FOH staff are good and location great.

Excellent cafe rouge usual experience great food good service and reasonable prices apart from the non alcoholic beers are extortionately priced - £4.65 for a 330ml non alcoholic brewdog. Burger was delicious!

Food and wine were great and very reasonably priced.I do feel sorry for the staff though. If you pay peanuts and don't employ enough people to serve everyone, do you think your employees will stick around?They did a great job, but couldn't serve everyone fast enough. It is quite simple really, increase your prices and wages to solve this problem.
