Camelford Arms in Brighton and Hove

Maybe dog friendly but DEFINITELY NOT family friendly, tried to go here for a late lunch with my 17 year old daughter at 3pm. Was just about to sit down and told everyone has to be over 18 to be there, NO where did it state this or mention it on their website. Definitely not a welcoming atmosphere.

Oh my goodness!! The food is AMAZING!! It’s without doubt the best roast I have ever eaten. Staff are attentive and friendly, atmosphere is great. We watched the six nations rugby while consuming our mega roast. Cannot fault it. Highly recommended this place, loved it!

An excellent service, choice of drinks, an excellent food, great staff.

Lovely pub, great selection of beers etc. Warm cosy atmosphere... Sadly a hen do rocked up and it became a screaming cesspit. Would absolutely revisit and spend a lovely evening having a few chilled beers.

Found this place on the Web searching for Sunday roasts. Award winning and the Queen has popped in.They are now serving the Xmas menu. Tried to book for 1pm full, so we got in at 3pm. Turkey roast. Came quickly. Only £14.90. Huge plate turkey, roast potatoes Brussels carrots. Red Cabbage. Ordinary Cabbage. Yorkshire pudding, parsnip shavings, mashed swede, Cauliflower and Gravy. My partner had the beef. Only thing missing we the pigs in blankets and stuffing. Not a problem as there was a large amount of other food. Tasty. Very nice. I rate it as a good solid 10.

We were in Brighton for the day and where looking for somewhere dog friendly and doing food. Found the Camelford Arms - what a gem! Friendly staff, Water and treats offered to our dog without needing to ask, amazing food - huge portions and lovely locals who made us feel welcome. Wished it was our local 😁

Stumbled upon this place, after looking for a proper local Brighton bar. Surprised this little gem of a pub was empty on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Excellent selection of ales and lagers. Food looks pretty good, although I didn’t order any. They serve a lovely pint of Sussex Best. The sort of place I can imagine coming to for a quick couple and then end up staying until closing time.

I had a rib eye steak dinner and a pint, the meal was huge and well presented for £20, I can highly recommend the food here and if I ever return to the area will definitely visit this quaint little pub once more!

Lovely pub on a quiet street in a rather busy area of Kemptown. The food was tasty, the interior inviting and the staff were welcoming and attentive. I would go back here again.
