Crave in Brighton and Hove

Horrible experience! My wife went in to get takeaway coffees and asked if she could use the WC first. Man behind counter refused unless she paid extra. I arrived moments later and explained we were genuine customers wanting to buy coffee. Man’s response was “We’re not a public toilet”. I don’t know if we caught him on a bad day or something but he was really rude. I said then we wouldn’t buy his coffee and he responded pretty unpleasantly. There are a lot of excellent cafés nearby where customers are treated with politeness and respect; I wouldn’t reward this behaviour with your custom.

Very pleasant place! Open till late. Reasonably priced food. WIfi, chilled atmosphere. I like it here :)

I had the chicken and avocado sandwich on brown today, normally have gorgonzola, onion/tomato on brown but today changed it around, well what a revelation and an absolute killer lunchtime treat. The chef certainly knows how to put those sandwiches together that's for sure. Great warm-n-friendly service, highly recommended, always look forward to popping across the road for their sandwiches, thank you guys.

The BEST sandwich I've eaten in years. Our little production company were filming nearby and stopped in for lunch for cast and crew. Every single person was blown away with the quality of their sandwiches and wraps. Beautiful fresh breads, fresh and flavourful fillings using top quality ingredients. How sandwiches should be done. The owners were warm and welcoming and we came straight back the next day for more. Truly fantastic.

This place has everything!Tasty bakery treats, delicious homemade hot food, groceries, lovely coffee, and most importantly, excellent customer service.Sandra & Simon are a delight and brighten up my mornings more than the coffee does!

Crave is a fantastic treasure trove of delights. From beautiful pastries to Turkish coffee, there is something for everyone. The staff are so polite and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Always come here.... better than Marmalade.

Friday work lunch from Crave is the highlight of our week! Keep up the good work guys cannot recommend the Chicken Escalope enough!! Will definitely be back again and again!

Moved locally Sept 2019 and very grateful found Crave. Now most days I fulfil my CRAVE-ing .. for a good quality coffee, or a lovely sweet treat. Also with the help of lovely friendly team I am trying yummy new things for me off their healthy and interesting menu - all very good value and big portions!. They have remained open with good safety precautions in-place. And supporting local community including all NHS key Workers etc. The main thing is they put the CARE in CRAvE. Thank You... Chris 💖

What an absolute gem!One of the only places to stay open in the covid lockdown, us lot in the medical rotas department at the hospital can't keep away.The friendliest team you'll ever meet running a café and the most delicious sandwiches in the world. (Honestly, the Shawerma wrap has changed my life).Their cakes and pastries are delicious (banoffee brownie is insane) and they have an excellent selection of both snacks and drinks.Excellent coffee with any milk of your choice. And their takeaway cups are compostible!NHS discount - winner.If you like your wine, ask their advice! I've tried two of the nicest red wines I've ever had and keep coming back for more- there's one with an upside-down label which is out of this world.You can order ahead or pop in and they even have an excellent breakfast menu!They've been brilliant in keeping the place open with limits to 2 customers at a time so you don't need to worry about the social distancing.Thanks so much crave, you're the only place I've been spending my money during lockdown and I don't regret a penny.

I had lunch here almost everyday for 7 week and not even one day I had complaints. The food is exquisite and the staff is friendly. Crave is perfect for luncheon or any time really. The Avocado chicken sandwich, the pastrami melt or the Mediterranean Shakshuka are a few of my favorites in Crave.
