Great food and wonderful service - recommended

Myself and my girlfriend went to Graze after reading a lot of good reviews. We eat out at a lot of michelin star restaurants, some brilliant and other a real disappointment. Graze is right up there in terms of the food. We went for the short menu, which is only £20 a head and to be honest, by the end of the meal we actually felt guilty given the quality of the food! Probably the best £20 three course menu mean you could buy. We've only been once, and I know all restaurants, no matter how good have some degree of variance with regards to quality, but so far so good. I just can't understand why it isn't always completely rammed given the ridiculously low price of the short menu and the great food, and some great wine choices too. We're going back for the Tasting Menu with pairing wines, and will of course edit the review based on what happens then.Follow up:So, based on the excellent short menu meal we had, we decided to go back for a taster menu. Unfortunately this was not nearly as good, as sad as it is to say. Not only did we prefer the food we got less, the value just wasn't here for us.1) Nothing was really super tasty, unlike the short menu.2) The wines were not of the standard that we would have expected given the price.3) The pairing wasn't bad but not exceptional either.Overall, we would give it a 4 stars (down from 5). I couldn't recommend the taster menu, however, as this is expensive for the quality of the food and cooking. Th short menu, at the quality we received as absolutely incredible. I hope they can match what the did the first time we went, as it would be great to have food of that quality in Brighton.

On recommendation for my birthday a friend and I decided on treating ourselves to the taster menu, with wine around £90 per head. What a disappointment, the food was incredibly bland and generally unexciting, however all of the dishes were well presented, but every one of them apart from the deserts lacked depth and flavor. The restaurant itself is lovely and quaint, the waiting staff are friendly and know their dishes, the wine selection was beautiful, however the one slight irritation was the young chef who seemed more interested in chatting up the wait staff than looking after his food - the constant giggling was actually a little distracting coming from the kitchen. At that price this restaurant needs to work a lot harder with it's food.

Good food, nice service, location isn't great.

I'm appalled by some of the bad reviews appearing on the front Google page when I search for Graze. Maybe they went though a bad patch, but a friend and I ate (from the a la carte) menu for lunch there last week (February 2015) and were blown away by the quality of the food and service. Every dish was exquisite, the little touches like the pre-starter amuse bouche, the pre-dessert pots of Earl Grey flavoured panna cotta, the chocolate orange fudge cubes served with coffee - well, they just enhanced what was a totally delightful experience. Foodie heaven - I can't wait to go back!

Oh dear - We had a great meal at Graze a few years ago so we booked for what we hoped would be a similarly good time. The summary is that the food was poor. The 'all plate no food' approach works well for exquisitely prepared and cooked dishes but after the excellent amuse bouche it went downhill rapidly. Overcooked squid (a crime in a seafront town!), through to textureless pork - all of which made no real impression. The killer blow was a gloopy dessert that lacked any finesse. We left disappointed and with wallet substantially lighter.

Definitely be back, Thanks

The best food in Brighton in my opinion.

Went here on a recommendation and had the tasting menu. Was amazing, and great value. Would definitely go back again.
