Long work week and travel also...but this lovely family gem makes the world right again with a perfectly cooked and wonderful meal. British beef that stands against any in the world when handled by this mecca of high-class comfort in a welcoming home atmosphere.Will be back every time in Brighton!

This is my favourite restaurant in Brighton. Went for a Valentine’s Day meal. It was busy and tables were quite tight but the steak was cooked perfectly and a very reasonable price. The specials board had a good choice of meals and desserts were very good. Can’t wait to go back.

A really lovely meal out. Couldn't fault the service, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Food was delicious too and not as expensive as other restaurants in Brighton.

Lovely little bistro. Excellent steaks cooked to perfection and the bread n butter pudding was soft and not too sweet. Definitely worth a visit.

Decor was nice and there was lots of choice on the menu but sadly the food was disappointing. The food was bland, the salmon was plain and unseasoned and didnt come with a side - £15 for a lonely fish fillet :(

One of many hidden gems in Brighton. We stumbled into the place drawn by their set menu displayed on a sign outside. Food has been remarkable. One of the best beef lasagnas we’ve had in this country (UK). Service has been great and place seemed clean and atmospheric. Would recommend.

Found this lovely restaurant in the lanes of Brighton. What a little gem.We had three courses and everyone was really tasty.Very friendly staff.Thank you for making our evening so pleasant.We will come back next time we're in Brighton.Will definitely recommend to others.

This was our favourite meal in Brighton!The fish stew is absolutely spot on and the chicken in blue cheese sauce an absolute hit! Don’t pass on dessert! My Eton mess was exactly what I needed as a sweet note before the walk back to the beach near our hotel.The staff was great too, super nice and welcoming and still smiling despite the lift to the kitchen being broken on that hot summer evening.Looking forward to going back to Brighton to try more dishes for sure.

We ended up here by chance having never been before. Will definitely be making this one of our favourites. The 2 and three course lunch menus were a lovely suprise from the usual choices. For starter mum and I had the spinach pancakes in a prawn and cheese sauce. Main for me was a whole grilled trout superbly cooked. Dessert was a really excellent cream caramel. The portions were generous. The staff were friendly and attentive. A total delight on a rainy day 🤗 well went for a return visit and once again excellent service and food, on a cold Friday lunchtime we were grateful for warmth and the comfy seats.
