Kemptown Tandoori in Brighton and Hove

Ordered through just eat. Though it arrived on time, this meal of 2 sides, 2 starters, 2 breads snd a main was £32 and that was with 10% discount and £2 delivery. There were 2 tiny samosas and this image attached is supposed to be a chef special mixed grill. Anyone who’s had a tandoori mixed grill before knows this is a joke. 3 small bits of chicken, 2 bits of lamb and a prawn. They would all fit on half a skewer. This was served in a swamp of onions. The rest of the food was meh. The chefs spicy dhal was salty lentils at best. I called and complained. The guy interrupted. I asked to continue. He then gaslit me as if I was being angry or irrational. He offered to send another but that it would take a while - pointless as the same rubbish. He then said the samosas were typical - I am not a mug. I’m a seasoned take away person. This mean was a waste of money snd expectation. Do not order from here.

First time trying Kemptown Tandoori, and the food was delicious, service was fantastic, when it was delivered we were told that all the main curry dishes came with rice (as we ordered rice not knowing!) the portions were also great. Wonderful value for money! Would definitely go again.

A long time favourite takeaway.Last nights dinner was so delicious and tonights left overs even better.I am inspired to send a review.Totally recommend for flavour, generous portions and value for money.

I've been using this takeaway for some time, so my opinion on the food is demonstrated by my return custom. I normally collect, but phoned for delivery tonight, as I'm isolating. The food was as good as ever, but I was especially impressed by the instructions passed to their delivery team.

Had a delicious take away, everything was so tasty. We ordered and waited at the shop, took about 15 minutes. Very friendly service and fair prices. Would definitely eat here again.

The food is always excellent and the people who work there are lovely. Tonight we ordered from them and by accident I gave them the wrong address online. They re-cooked a fresh batch of food and sent it over for no extra cost. By far the best curry house in Brighton!

My partner and I ordered a take away from here tonight and we were very impressed.The staff are super friendly and lovely. We called and requested the set menu (1). I asked how much it would cost to upgrade the nann, and the man was happy to do this free of charge which was very generous.We were informed that the food would arrive in 30-45min and we got a knock on the door in 20min.The food was better than our expectations. Most of what was on the set menu we hadn't tried before so it was a bit of a risk but we were not disappointed. The chicken tikka masala was tender and sweet, the other curry had a lovely flavor and was a nice contrast. The kababs were not to our taste unfortunately but everything else was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely!The only criticism I have is that there could be a little more meat in the curry's but all in all, we are very impressed with this place.Would recommend!!

Dissapointing!We ordered a delivery, the guy on the phone was really nice however the curry was not great. The Madras was ridiculously hot (like a Vindaloo), and we love hot! There wasn't a lot of meat in either curry, what there was didn't taste great and both curries were a little dull.
