Stopped here for a bit of lunch.Eggs Benedict was the chosen meal.Well, what can I say about it? The best eggs Benedict I've had. Finally someone had the initiative to use a honey glazed ham hock on sourdoughGreat flavour, great food, and you can sit outside and watch the busy bustling streets of Brighton pass by

Very small portions for the price you pay. They don’t compensate that with a decent service at least…Service charge is auto on the bill. Wouldn’t visit this place again!

Nice place. We went there after a shopping day in the lanes and we wanted different things and this place had everything. Small and sweet bites and big meals aswel. We had the eggs benedict and they were amazing. Definitely coming back! Also Tom and Alex were very nice and attentive.

Breakfast on point.Staff really friendly, think it was a guy called Tom who took us to the table. Very friendly and welcoming and great table service. We'll worth a visit if your down in the North laine

Came for brunch with 2 other friends. We had to wait for a while because we didn't have a booking, but it was Sunday so we expected it.The place was packed, we got a veggie breakfast, eggs royale and an halloumi sandwich with chips. Everything was good and the portions big. Wasn't particularly blown away by something specific - the falafel was good but you only get one with the veggie breakfast which is a shame. My friend said the salmon on the eggs royale was very fresh. The staff was polite and efficient, they ended up taking away our plates when we were still finishing the chips and we had nowhere to put the ketchup, but they were running non stop so we didn't take it badly, although we did say we wanted to keep our plate. The restaurant was a bit noisy.I wouldn't mind going back, but if I had a choice I would look for something more exciting probably!

Went for brunch on a bank holiday weekend. It was busy, so I would recommend booking if there's more than three of you.Food was delicious (I had avocado smash on toast with extra halloumi) and reasonably priced and service was quick and attentive. Great menu choices and catered for various dietary requirements.Would definitely recommend and visit again.

The service is great. And the food is as you’d expect, nothing really special but good.It can be quite cramped but it definitely has a decent atmosphere.I imagine it’s great in the summer when the outside seating is all available.

Absolutely incredible experience. We’d heard so much about this place and despite not having a reservation, we decided to chance squeezing in, on what appeared to be a very busy Sunday. The lady who greeted us straight away as we entered, we assumed was the owner and literally could not have been more accommodating. At that particular moment there weren’t any tables available, but she assured us that she’d be able to fit us in shortly and invited us to sit at the bar while our table became available and was prepared. My partner, friends and I passed the short wait while drinking delicious coffees and looking over the menus. After we were sat at our table, an incredibly friendly and professional Canadian waitress informed us of the specials available that day (I had the Shakshuka) and took our order. The food was incredible and really didn’t disappoint at all. Beautifully presented and deliciously tasty. The waiting staff and all round experience was nothing short of incredible.Great value for money, with quality of food that was exceptional. All of this was coupled with a level of service that would normally cost you a fortune. The chance walk-in without a reservation was well worth it. Although I’d highly recommend booking in-advance.

My go-to spot for Sunday breakfast/lunch. The fry up is delicious, although its served with a thimble of baked beans. The staff are very friendly and attentive, but you can tell they're feeling the stress during busy periods. The coffee is great too (lots of alt. milk options). I really wish the sourdough toast was served with butter, it's a small difference but would elevate the dish

We had brunch at Kooks this morning...we both had the Eggs Benedict with a side. Food was excellent, service was prompt and friendly, the bathrooms clean and smell free (very handy when the young master needs a nappy change). Thanks folks, looking forward to coming back soon.
