Regency Restaurant in Brighton and Hove

What a lovely experience! Absolutely brilliant food. The scallops, oysters, prawn cocktail and the fish n chips were amazing! Thank you for the great lunch! Can’t wait to come back.

The staff were mostly inattentive. They’d walk past you or stand near you (not doing too much) and actively avoid making eye contact so they wouldn’t have to serve you.There are some obviously high mark-ups (poor value for money) in the menu. It seems a lot of it (especially desserts, burgers, breaded dishes) was just frozen and reheated.The grilled fish and starters were all ok, but that’s the least you can expect for the prices.I’d recommend going to giggling squid, the salt room, or riddle and fins over the regency.

One of the best seafood restaurant in Brighton, seafood were so fresh, especially for the oyster! Apart from that the price were fair and the waiter/waitress was very friendly Definitely worth to pay a visit to come and enjoy some real seafood!

One of the best places to eat in Brighton. Very friendly staff. Fast service. Fresh seafood. Reasonable price. A must for seafood lovers. Will visit again 🤗

If I could give The Regency more than 5 stars, I would . Service is impeccable , could not fault the staff in any way. They’re very attentive , fast and interactive which makes the atmosphere a more pleasurable experience . A lot of the staff were talking to us , cracking jokes and just all of them are overall nice people . The food is also incredible , the lobster and scallops were very fresh and delicious . We also had passionfruit martinis , crème brûlée , banoffee pie and Irish coffees which were all fantastic. In terms of food and staff, there is nothing to fault, it was a great experience and the price is definitely worth it as the quality of the food and drinks are brilliant. My family and I will always make sure to visit this restaurant every time we come down to Brighton.

We sat at a great table right up front with a view of the sea. Had a series of starters from the menu which has a great selection of seafood options. I would highly recommend the scollops special on the board which was cooked in a sesame chill oil and a nice twist on traditional seafood flavours. The food was all fresh and served piping hot. The staff were also friendly with prompt service.

Staying in Brighton a couple of days, passed this restaurant on the front, it was busy and looked really nice, fresh fish. We were lucky to get a table as it was busy. Staff were quick and attentive, good service. The food was delicious, fish was so fresh and chips crisp and dry. Delicious. We then had spotted Richard and custard which was also delicious. Was not cheap but food and service like this doesn't come cheap. The restaurant itself was spotless, nice cosy atmosphere. Would definately come here again. The only thing was we paid over £5 service charge on the bill which we don't agree with because the meals, although lovely are expensive enough as it it as.

It's such a nice sea food restaurant. I tried the sword fish and the portion is somewhat on the small side I was not disappointed with the taste. I'll definitely go again there when I pass through Brighton. My dish is in the last pic and the rest are my friends or the starters.

I don’t know what happened to this restaurant when we visited there given all the positive reviews. Rather avoid this place unless you only care the location(at least great location by the beach.) Subpar services, vibes, disappointing food. Oysters and scallops neither fresh or tasteful, even simple garlic bread were cold and salty. Fish&chips tasted fine.
