Shahcoal Kebab in Brighton and Hove

I ordered using ubereats. This is the first time I've used such an app.I ordered a large chicken shish kebab and specifically added to the order I wanted tomato and chilli peppers only. It was £12.I was incredibly disappointed and surprised to see the smallest chicken kebab I've ever seen. There was such a small amount of chicken that I though it was a joke. The cheesy chips although virtually cold were OK.I will never order from there again as it was an absolute rip off.

Okay, bear in mind it went under NEW MANAGEMENT since around November 2018?I went to collect a pizza kebab and chips last week, I live around here and I thought well, lets give these guys a go? I don't know about delivery times and all of that.I know that first visit to the shop wasn't impressive in relation to how the guys looked at first impression; mind you gotta be a bit laid back working up Hollingdean especially if it's not a busy time at the restaurant.It was clean and in order, just to clarify that.But guys, I've had some of the BEST chips I've ever had! Nice and crispy they were VERY well cooked! I rarely have had such good chips, Taste and see!And.. I've had a pizza kebab that was really one of the best ever! I am not even joking.. the way they cut the toppings with such attention to details, the quality of the dough (this is not Italian style pizza it's more like American style), the quality of the meat... I don't know guys, it was just very well made and tasty?!So this is my honest experience and these guys deserve a chance for sure.

Had a menu in the door and looked good so gave it a try. Hubby had a steak burger which he said was best burger ever. I had chicken and bacon wrapped. It's massive but very good. The fries are lovely and crispy. Chicken strips are very tasty. The food is wrapped beautifully and it all came piping hot. Will go back no hesitation. Best takeaway for a long time. Well done Shahcoal. Would recommend without hesitation.

Accidentally put an order through on just eat. Meant to add more to it but of course I slipped up and pressed order. Doing so I called the restaurant to cancel the order. On the phone I got a very confused staff member. He said ok I’ll cancel it. An hour and twenty minutes later I get an email saying it has been delivered. Still no sight of a refund.

Eaten here a few time last time i got a donna kebab and it was verry average and verry greasy I rather order it from somewhere else even tho the shop is a cross the road from my house wish they could put a good takeaway there

I live literally round the corner from this place and I’ve only just eaten here. Just grabbed some chips passing by on the way home from uni, £1.50!! Cheap as chips ;)best chips I’ve ever had! I will definitely be returning again! Thank you

Not to bad since its had new management it used to be a horrible place to buy a takeout and I went there once and thought never again but it has got a lot better and now I would recommend the place if your local and want something quick but if you want a takeaway there's much better options in Brighton.

Just ordered a Regular Donner and Burger meal. The chips were reheats and the Burger was saturated in ketchup. The Donner meat was sparse and must have been sitting there for several days. Plus they overcharged us. Never again. Obviously the people in Hollingdean don't get out much if they think this place is ok...

Shahcoal is my favorite place because the food is always delicious and fresh, the staff is professionel and very friendly. Last but not least, the shop is always hygienic and 100 % clean. I just love Shahcoal's food.

Local Kebab shop, so I have eaten here a few times in the past. Kebabs are pretty average and you can get better if you want to walk down to Lewes Road. Prices are reasonable but they do not accept card.
