The worse Indian I have ever had in my entire life and that is no exaggeration! Food arrived with lids open and was everywhere in the bag. Was missing a rice, had to share a rice with my partner for two Currys. Was stone cold when it arrived and the food itself was bland. There’s more flavour in a frozen tikka masala from Asda. The amount of water in with the curries is beyond me, was more like a broth than a curry. Didn’t know whether to eat it or go for swim! Honestly, steer clear! Totally unacceptable!

We love shahi! We have been enjoying this Indian restaurant eating in and take away for the past 15 years. The food is great, you know which chef is cooking but the spicyness of the food some times. We have started to try one more local in Patcham as the price here has risen somewhat. In all I recommend

Not an enjoyable experience. So for a start, the lids had not been secured properly so the food was spilled everywhere in the bag when we received it, we called up explaining what had happened for them to quickly respond just complain to Uber eats for a refund, no direction, no help at all so customer service needs some improvement.Secondly my partner now has an upset stomach due to the food, this is really bad! I will not be ordering from here again and I strongly advise anyone to do the same!

You get the worst Indian food here. Do not go there to eat Indian food better cook at home.

Been a regular here for takeaways for years and always enjoyed the food; had a takeaway Saturday but noticed corner cutting; firstly the Chicken Tikka meals never had tomatoes or cucumber, just piles of lettuce and onion, the other unsatisfactory issue that my main chicken dish only had four small pieces of chicken and loads of juice, not good enough for a dish that cost nearly ten pound. If this continues I will take my business elsewhere.

Been coming here for many years. The food is fantastic and great value. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. One of the best curry's in the area.

Ordered a vegetable Kadai through Uber Eats for my partner who is vegetarian, I presumed as there was no mention of meat on the ingredients list, that this curry would be safe for a veggie to consume. How wrong I was. When the food arrived it was filled with mincemeat.I called the restaurant and told the manager, he said that it was meant to have mince in it.Thinking this was an oversight between Shahi and Uber eats, I suggested he contact Uber eats about amending the menu to avoid any future misunderstandings. At this point the manager became aggressive and hostile telling me I should complain to Uber eats instead and how dare I tell him what to do. He was shouting and swearing and I couldn't have been more polite.Awful customer service. A shame as the rest of the food was pretty good. There are a thousand Indian takeaways in Brighton so I will go else where next time, definitely not my loss.

Love this place food is always amazing and service was impeccable and the price is reasonable as well. The best compliment I can give this place is that its the closest thing to a curry from up north I've been able to find in Brighton. Will definitely be using this place again in the future

Spend one dinner night, I should really thank the entire team for a happy welcoming even at the last minute for closing the shop.Dishes are really good which giving nice aroma of Indian spices and all.One bad thing I noticed was few currys they serve have a common base gravy , which doesn’t make any difference if you order those

Very impressed. Traditional style done very well. The chicken was very well cooked, lots of aromatics in the sauce, great portion size and the garlic rice was fresh and delicious! Will be back to eat in soon, but for now I will be enjoying lots more takeaway!
