Smiley's in Brighton and Hove

Really good food(nice fish+chips!), and fast service(hangleton area!).

Portion size has become a problem recently. Small chips as big as a large, and sometimes large chips barely enough. Same with the kebab sizes. With all the price increases on top of this I think smileys should keep it how it used to be.

Food is normally really good but the last 3 times its been bad ordered tonight food was not good next to no chicken in my large kebab soggy bread chips were cold could be the last time I order from hear sad times this place used to be amazing back in the day

Order from here a few times now and have had to phone the shop back up because they have got my order wrong or have left something from my order or when we have had our meal the bread is wet from the salad

This place used to be good. But over the last year they’ve got really stingy with their portion sizes. The meat in their chicken kebabs is sliced so thinly you basically get 4 pieces of paper thin chicken. The smallest amount of salad which is mostly made up of onion and no green chillies. I’ve lived in London and there is Turkish kebab house there that gives you portions bigger than Smileys largest kebab but at £4.50 which is cheaper than smileys small kebab. I had a kebab from Smileys over the weekend and on opening it, it was almost flat. Basically ripping people off with small portion sizes. It’s a shame because the food is genuinely nice but it appears they’ve got greedy!

I usually like your food but after waiting over an hour it arrived dried up.hard batter.chios were just end no potato. Gave it to the dog.so disappointed as I work hard and only eat one meal a day..

Have used Smileys for years competitive price compared to other establishments food always arrives hot and very tasty staff and delivery service are friendly and prompt overall a great take away

This place is flipping incredible. Never had a bad serving of food or service at all. I've never had chip shop chips delivered that tasted good from anywhere other than this place.Good value and they're always nice on the phone. Best fish and chips in Hove by far (although my experience is limited to Wings, Sky High Fish Bar and that new place next to Hove station).Kebabs are always great, I'm told by friends that the burgers are good and I've never tried their pizza.
