Swallow House in Brighton and Hove

ordered at 8.30 and waiteduntil 10.10 for an email saying the drivercouldn't find my location. called therestaurant multiple times with noanswer and was supposed to receive atext update on my foods location andwas still left in the dark. veryunprofessional.

Great food. Good service. Speedy delivery. The sweet and sour sauce which I find can differ greatly with some Chinese takeaway is great from here

the food was incredible- even better than i ever could have imagined. definitely going here again on my next visit to Brighton. highly recommend the shrimp chow mein btw!

This is my favourite Chinese, but today 21st of June NOT so great. Being father's day I was looking forward too my Chinese. Food wasn't great.!! Please bring back my tasty Chinese swallow house.🙂

Been using these for as long as I can remember, always loved it, ever again, it was cold, the Crispy Fried Chill Beef, was neither chilly or crispy, was so chewy it was disgusting, no longer take care payments on a Saturday as it's too busy, surely it's quicker to take a card payment than hang around for the cash at the door?? Keep serving food like that & you won't have the too busy problem, such a shame as it was my favourite, I didn't realise until reading the reviews it had changed management 🙄

Just ordered £20 worth. 2 chicken chowmeins, 1 sweet and sour Hong Kong style, 1 portion chicken balls. I rang the order in at 9.21pm the phone call lasted just under 2 minutes as I paid by card which took it to 9.23pm. Food arrived at my door 9 mi Tues later, food was only warm and vegetables not cooked. I will not ever be getting food here again.

I used to love swallow house! But since the new ownership/ Different cooks, I think it's gone right down hill! Food is tasteless. Half the containers full with food, (so unsure why am paying full price for half a dish!) £40 on an order but can't give prawn crackers out. Menu states FREE bottle of coke on orders over £30! No coke either.Please be aware when ordering from swallow house what is displayed on menu is false advertisement!Don't want anyone else to be as disappointed as I am!I have been a good customer for many years but certainly will not return! As this is the worst Chinese I've ever eaten!

Great Chinese takeaway, good value and 10% off when you collect! Only 2 criticisms: from my experience the two times I've got the sweet and sour pork balls they've been very chewy and fatty. And the children who live there are very noisy when you're waiting for your food

Disgusted - posted on Just Eat that they were open on Christmas Day and then cancelled my pre order 15 mins after opening ! For personal reasons we did not want a traditional Christmas dinner and decided to order Chinese. Why post that you will be open when you have no intention of fulfilling the order?Thankfully we found a very nice Indian restaurant that even called me personally to say they were on their way. Never will order from Swallowhouse again.

I'm not sure if this Chinese was having a bad night but our food was awful.Barbecue Ribs were cooked in Gravy, nothing barbecue about it.The curry sauce and the chilli beef were so hot that none of us could eat it.The mixed vegetables were awful, in a tub that looked like dishwasher, no flavour what so ever and our chips were cold. Horrendous meal for £43. Not used this Chinese before, only did as China Kitchen were on holiday.Never again! The 1 star is for the free bottle of coke.
