I love this place. what a gem. old style pub with good selection of ever-changing ales. always something interesting. beer garden at rear. welcoming, friendly staff. all good.

Lovely local pub with good beer. There is an outside area at the back if you want to avoid the confined space of a pub. My only complaint would be that in the sheltered area outside there is supposed to be no smoking but the patrons seem to ignore this

Has been over 15years since my last visit and hasn't changed that much. Definately a bar for the local people and wouldn't recommend a visit with anyone expecting a life changing experience. All the tables were booked from 7pm obviously for the pub quiz held each Thursday which I assume is a regular event here. A homely atmosphere and a good range of real ales and cider. Didn't see any food on the menus but doubt this pub is for anything but a pint at the end of a hard day's work.

Still my favourite pub in Brighton, a true 'local'. Brought friends along and they loved it too. Kids got off their phones and played Jenga and frustration. Wonderful food too. Thanks for a really chilled evening Barley Mow :)

Lovely pub in Brighton with a nice garden and cozy interiors. They sell Pie minister and have plenty of beers and ciders.I particularly enjoyed their table games, so much so that we stayed there all afternoon. Wish I could go back more often.They also have a lovely friendly labrador (who you shouldn’t feed)
