Called in 10am ish - my wife and I had a very pleasant and well presented breakfast. Several other couples and some obviously working gentleman and women also came in for their breakfast and an accompanying beverage. Only drawback was certain other older individuals also arrived who I'm certain would still be there long after we left. I did feel sorry for the staff who we found very efficient and very friendly but most likely have to put up with the behaviour and langauge of the early morning drinking group.

Very busy due to football fans. Staff were very good though.food was rushed .burgers were pretty good but chips and onion rings barely warm. Overall not too bad considering.

Disappointed with the food.Have been to plenty of different spoons over the last few years and have had a variety of food and drink. But this was the worst food I've had from wetherspoons. We ordered 3 starters: chicken wings, chicken strips and chips with curry sauce. The chicken was not good quality and just didn't taste right. With regards to the chips we have ordered it with curry sauce before and it normally comes in a mini gravy boat. On this occasion it didn't come with one, the sauce was just poured at the bottom of the bowl was probably microwaved then served to us which was disappointing

Food tasted great. Great size portions. The usual Great Wetherspoons value for money.

Very busy but we did go on a Saturday late afternoon, great cocktail jugs for a great price

Slow service, the staff did their best but there simply weren't enough staff to meet demand. It took over 30 minutes for a single food/drink order. Food very good when it arrived. The coffee machine broke 3-4 times and needed a staff member to fix it each time. The pub is untidy and lacks any atmosphere.

The staff here were very moody. Not a nice atmosphere. Tables were not cleared, lots of staff waking around not doing much. And the cleanliness of the venue was appalling. The stairs were covered in grime and filthy. The toilets smelt horrible, corners were filled with grime. I've always visited this wetherspoon when visiting Brighton but ill think again next time I visit.

I was in this pub this morning for my breakfast and don't know how ordered a traditional breakfast instead of the vegeterian one via the app and was expecting them to swap it which they refused and i had to ask them to bin it so couldn't have my breakfast. I know it's my fault but would expect them to be more helpful as a huge restaurant / pub chain but they were not ! I use wetherspoons for years and never done this mistake before . So they could be more understanding. Do not reccomend this branch to anyone. Leaving here with big disappointment now 👎

Not a great Wetherspoon pub. I've been a few times and food often comes out cold or incorrect, and worst of all was a time when I actually managed to cut my finger on a broken toilet door handle with sharp metal exposed where the cover had come off! Also often tables are left very dirty and sticky for the next customer.

Visited with wife at noon on a Tuesday after being tempted in by the come-on of a poster outside promoting IPA, my favourite tipple, for just 99p a pint and a glass of White Zinfandel, my wife's, for a mere £1.69.Pub ground level was gloomy, worn-out looking and depressing . Upstairs was L-shaped and had high-seat counters facing the street most of the way round, where we sat. It was much brighter upstairs than downstairs and felt a bit more inviting. But the street view was pretty grim, consisting of run - down buildings opposite and roosting seagulls and pigeons shxxxxxg onto pedestrians and cars (which I suppose you could take bets on to pass the time). The counter we sat at and nearby tables felt sticky, from which we deduced cleaning was probably ineffective and all tables would probably be similarly adhesive. The floor in gents toilet was tacky as well (as was the ladies, apparently). The gents also featured wet pxss on the floor around every urinal (apart from a child - level one), dried-up splashes of liquid everywhere and the floor covering (lino?) looked bumpy in places. Perhaps cleaning ought to be more frequent and diligent in there as well.Online ordering was as usual encouraged (but not in the toilet, obvs!), with exhortation to scan QR codes or use the app. But there was no BT 4G connection upstairs at least. Wetherspoon WiFi availabilitywas highlighted, but no information was displayed on how to access it and nothing that might be Wetherspoon WiFi was shown on the list of available access points on my phone.I eventually managed to attract a barmaid to the untended bar, to ask her how to access the WiFi. She thought it might be something to do with a BT hot-spot, but clearly had no clue. Thus, I ordered at the bar from a different worker who appeared from the back a bit later - only to be informed there was none of the advertised cheap IPA or White Zinfandel available. This second barmaid was better informed and soon got me onto Wetherspoon WiFi (via the counterintuitively named "The Cloud"), which worked fine straightaway. To eat, we had Meat feast pizza and tuna jacket potato, with pink gin and tonic (in lieu of said Zinfandel) and a pint of Doom instead of IPA, totaling a reasonable £17.70.Tuna potato was fine, as was the G&T. Doom was LOVELY, spot on. But pizza was rank, outer edge crispy but centre doughily uncooked - like chewing cardboard.I doubt I'll choose to visit this Wetherspoon again. But there are plenty of other pubs nearby.
