I had my 30th birthday party at The Exchange last night and it was absolutely great! The staff happily accepted the booking of 40 people, were friendly throughout the evening and very fast. We were allocated half the pub and was a perfect spot to celebrate. Lots of standing and sitting room, good atmosphere and great vibes! They allowed us to bring balloons, put out minor decorations and really helped us have a great time! Thank you Exchange

DO NOT GO TO THIS PUB!!!!!!! THE WORST PUB EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. The staff are all terrible. Rude, sarcastic, and unprofessional. The food was the best thing about the pub- and that was below average. On Saturday night myself and a large group of friends went to the exchange pub for a good friends birthday. We were appalled by the staff and how they treated his daughter and all of us in the end. May I add she had come all the way down from London, and had left her ID there. She is 26!!! The staff said she had to leave at 20:30 am, even when she showed them both her NHS vaccine passport and a picture with a note next to it with her passport in it and wasn't even drinking. The irony of the entire situation was that within our group there was a 17year old who ordered a beer, and not one of the staff decided to pick on him- or ask for ID. The manager in particular was very rude to her- accusing her of lying. It was as if they were getting off on their power. We looked around the pub and there were clearly younger people drinking, but they wouldn't let it go. His daughter left and eventually they kicked our whole party out for trying to get them to understand how unreasonable they were all being. I suggest training your stuff with some manners and if your reading this give it a miss

As far as the food is concerned, do not trust the reviews! I’m relatively new to the area and am constantly trying new local pubs for food. This pub is firmly at the bottom of my ranking. Even the people on the table next to us were moaning about the awful quality of the food. They had the same as us, burger and fries. Something you’d think impossible to spoil? Well unfortunately The Exchange managed to.Seriously, if it’s food your after do not go to this pub, you honestly will be dissatisfied and feel like you’ve been ripped off!

Went here for a lamb roast dinner today. Food was delicious, and a fair price. The staff were really lovely and the pub had a great atmosphere. Really enjoyed!

Super friendly, fun, chill. Great selection and though we just stopped in to the beer garden for food, what we saw pass our table looked fab! Really excellent, smiley service.

Amazing roast dinner with interesting accompaniments - like the parsnip puree and beetroot gratin. Overall, so tasty! The vegan one was delicious too! About £20pp with a drink.
