I thought the service was hopeless at the 7 Dials branch but this one is giving them a run for their money. 20 mins to produce a coffee, which had evidently been sitting around as it was lukewarm by the time it arrived. A centimetre of it was spilled into the saucer but never mind eh, leave it to the customer to mop up!

Service incredibly slow. Staff have no sense of urgency whatsoever. Had to edit my review from 5 stars (coffee and food is good), but the last few times I have been there the service has been absolutely shocking. So many people 'working' but just seem to be aimlessly lolling about. The guy at the till moved slower than a tortoise that had smoked wacky tabaccy on the seafront.Going to give this place a break.

The staff here is highly competent and prompt. The filtered brew is strong enough for a morning coffee and pastries are fresh. I recommend especially the vegan brioche buns for your home burgers. The sunlight coming in during the mornings bring life into the location.

Great selection of pastries, cakes and drinks. Especially the almond croissant is delightful! Wish I could have that every weekend 😀 the cakes are very good too (had the carrot cake and polenta cake). My husband had the double chocolate chip cookies and I tasted it and they are very good, not too sweet and just moist enough. Some of the other pastries were a bit too dry and sugary for me, hence the 4-stars.The chai latte is one of the best I've had so far, and I often order chai latte's.

Best flour pot location. Amazing friendly staff that know their way around customer service, always delicious coffee and food. However this is their busiest location and it's almost always packed, so stay away during peak times if you're looking to sit down and have a peaceful time at a coffee shop. They have free WiFi and water refills, dogs and families are welcome, and there are plenty of sockets to plug your laptop/phone into. They have seating for larger groups as well as tables for 1/2 people.

The milk used in my coffee had expired and there were small flies buzzing around the jug it was poured from. Previous visits have not had this issue, but the coffee is generally substandard anyway. Bringing in experienced baristas and not teenagers would be a good start.EDIT: “unique feedback”? Love the condescending response. It doesn’t matter where your milk is from. It was off. It’s almost as if fresh produce expires at different rates, or something!

Flour pot in hove used to be my favourite cafe in Brighton but I came back today and was so disappointed to find the cafe itself was pretty filthy , the floor was so dirty and covered in spillages, dog hair and general grime. Tables all sticky and seated cushions looking rather worse for wear. Pillows could also do with a good clean. I did have a yummy cookie though that recipe hasn't changed for the last 3 years i’ve been here, nice to see a bit of evolution in the offerings. It was a shame to find my hot chocolate clearly made of instant hot chocolate powder which made for a rather luke warm watery result.

Light and airy coffee shop with steady flow of people popping in to buy bread, houmous, sandwiches and cakes. Friendly, diverse and skilled staff really make this place.

Lovely vegan beef sandwich and chocolate mocha cookie. Exactly what I needed today.

Good spot for breakfast or afternoon tea, was impressed by the large selection of vegan options. Nice atmosphere and bright cafe. Was a little on the expensive side, and the staff got a bit confused with our orders so took a bit longer than expected.
