My sunday roast was average. The tiny peice of chicken breast was dry, over cooked and under seasoned. Leathery roast potatoes - not crispy at all, and far too little gravy to compensate. Luke warm and a small portion considering the £15 price tag. Service was swift and friendly.

Nice friendly pub. Nice lunch time atmosphere. We chose leek and potato the soup. It was really nice. I asked about a real ale recommendation. Sea Fury was the choice. Barmaid helpful.

So the food was lovely... And it's such a shame that the service wasn't equally good. Having a 6-year-old waiting for her lunch for 1,5 hour is nerve-racking, and yes! We actually waited 1,5 hours for our food to land on the table! No one even bothered to come round and explain the unacceptable delay, and we were just left sitting there for ages! As I said, although the food was good, it was a terrible experience 🙄

Staff don’t know the difference between an IPA and Pilsner and a NEIPA. Thrown out by a young student barman for pointing this out to them.

Amazing pub ! Great staff ! Great selection of drinks and Great food ! Loads of outside space and the back garden , with booth's and covered tables is brilliant ! Seriously recommend a visit !

Great place. Friendly and professional staff. We often bring our Maydays improv students here after classes. Sunday roasts and their red wine are/is excellent!

Really nice place, wish I explored more as the garden looked beautiful. Lots of corners for people who like to sit out the way. £16 for a fish and chips and a redbull. Perfect price for the amazing quality food you receive. The lady was very welcoming and friendly. Would 100% go again if I lived closer.

Good Companions is good for a drink but the roasts (I had the lamb) was very underwhelming. The meat was cooked to perfection and tasted great but everything else was a bit meh. Great beer garden and nice staff!

Perfect place plenty of outside seating . Super friendly staff great service . Great to see a pub / bar who only do walk-ins and no bookings !! . Food was tasty and not to overpriced. Will always pop when in area . Keep up the good work 😃.
