A while since I visited this cafe. Ordered a sausage sandwich. The bread was dry although apparently freshly delivered that day. I mentioned to the staff who pleasantly offered to replace it with a bap which was fresh. The sausage could have been of better quality as I remember they used to be but on the whole acceptable.A prime location cafe should offer high quality food and it does generally but if it lets itself down on a basic snack then it that’s a shame.Such a gem of a cafe, lovely staff and great coffee!

Just had a delivery which was lovely. Just wish they would wrap sandwiches baguette etc in napkins as when just in foil they sweat and bread goes soggy .

Excellent little roadside cafeBurgers great (including veggie ones) even had avocado toast on the menu.Far greater range of food / drink on offer than you would expect for such a small place.

Best cafe I know of!!! Very generous portions and friendly service!!! Reasonable prices too.

The blue burger is as good a burger as I’ve ever eaten: juicy, not overcooked, full of flavour, and served in a seeded bun with great texture. Good service and simple but pleasant outdoor seating: I’ll be back!

First time we have ever visited this cafe despite living in Brighton for 31 years. Amazing coffee, burgers and breakfast rolls. Definitely worth stopping here if in Brighton.

Good spot for walkers, and staff are very pleasant.Brunch was ok, but nowt special. Eggs undercooked, bacon was solid and chewy, sausage overcooked.

Great little cafe on the way into/out of Brighton selling a wide range of breakfast treats. They also do an amazing coffee milkshake that's lovely in Summer.

Stopped at Hilltop Cafe for food as later in afternoon and other places closed. Really glad we did. Had a really nice cheese burger in a seeded bun with pickle, tomato and caramelised onion. My partner asked for the avocado smash without the bread and replaced by chips. They made a really nice salad of sliced avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, rocket and chips. (Chip I would have preferred chunky). So helpful. Got a free soft drink. Tea was a quality Earl Grey with Oat milk. Nice flowers on the tables. Nice sunshades had a slight feeling of a taverna in Greece or the Mediterranean

Stopped for lunch. Glad I did.Food was good. Coffee was good.It was a nice day for sitting outside.Obviously not if it had been raining. They do take away 0700 to 1800 and are on Uber eats.Good.
