Quirky old pub with solid pine tables, retro magazine covers and terrace, with varied European menu.

Went to the pub for drinks and was very dissappointed and disgusted. I observed one of the barmen serve 2 glasses of wine to a customer who then didnt like what he had been served. I then watched the barman pour the 2 glasses back in the bottle! This was then mentioned by myself and the barman was then very rude because I had told him what I had seen! Very poor!

Delicious Sunday Roast, really generous portion! We had the pork belly and the vegan option, both very good, we’ll be back! Thank you!

Excellent little pub. Great tunes. Great staff (bar one miserable sod - but we'll give her the benefit of the doubt). And a great atmosphere. After a weekend away in Brighton, this is now my favourite pub in that lovely town.

Great selection of beers, good food from The Pickled Oyster and friendly staff. The terrace and therefore current Covid, outdoor space at the back is well done, with a retractable roof and ‘garden walls’. Rather chilly however decent heaters. Easily our favourite central Brighton pub.

We had a fabulous Sunday Lunch here! The staff are really friendly, the food is fabulous and the atmosphere is great! We loved the outdoors area in particular, especially when the sun is shining enjoying a nice refreshing pint of cider or wine! A hidden gem! A cool place to go in Brighton!

We went for a very late lunch here on a weekday. It wasn't very busy and our order was taken quickly by the friendly girl at the bar. Apparently evenings and weekends are busy. The pub has a pleasant, but simple decor and it has a comfortable ambience. The food arrived after about twenty minutes, served by the chef. We all had different choices, and we all enjoyed the food. Really well cooked and very tasty. The bar is well stocked and has a good range of beers especially. There is also an outdoor area behind the main room. The facilities are in the basement down a flight of stairs and to be honest they let the place down a bit. Cracked sink and everything a bit sticky. The pub is not wheelchair accessible either. We'd still be happy to go again though, because the important things are right.
