Lovely boozer, corner plot. Inside and outside seating with canopy's/heating if so required.Good on an evening/weekend, proper lively as right in the center of the North Laine's. Would recommend to those down for the weekend but don't want to go to the usual pub chains or tourist spots.

Great vegan burgers and lovely pet-friendly place. Definitely recommend it!

Called the barman out for serving us 3 drinks that had no alcohol in them. Tried numerous times to get him to try the drinks to no avail. I’ve been to mash tun many times and had a fantastic time but after being treated so poorly I won’t be back.

Very nice bar and cool atmosphere. Went with a couple of friends and saw some old school friends there. We were all chatting outside with our drink, there was about 8 of us. All of a sudden the rude female bouncer asked us to leave as we were in a group bigger than 6. I didn’t even know this was still a rule but apparently so. We told her the situation how we just saw them in there but she started getting annoyed and pushing us out. Bearing in mind there was a table behind us with 10 people on it and a group of around 14 people next to us which was funny. But we proceeded to leave. We were standing outside deciding where to go next and the rude female bouncer started filming us? I’m not sure why but she did. So all in all I would give 0 stars if I could. However, the bar staff were really nice and it seems like quite a nice venue, shame the bouncers had to ruin it. I won’t be back because I now have a lifetime ban but hey, there’s more pubs out there with more friendly bouncers on the door. I hope the owner/manager sees this and gets in touch.Cheers

unbelievably rude bouncer who refused my boyfriend entry because he thought he lost his wallet and then found it again. massive power trip and when we asked why he had refused us he said he 'didn't feel like explaining his reasoning'. I understand they have a job to do and need to make sure everyone is safe but being rude and arrogant isn't the way to do it. Im sure its a lovely pub shame i didn't get to go in.

I don't really understand what is with this place. So I think generally it's a fairly good pub. Great location, staff are really young but seem okay. Amazing dj nights, really fun music. BUT I don't know if its ageism or sexism but yesterday I was asked to leave because my friend apparently had been heard being sick in the toilets by one of the bar staff (this did not happen). This isn't the first time this has happened and it is frankly annoying now. I'm not sure whether they throw people out to get others in, or if they just get a kick out of this. Very irritating.

Fun place. We went on Saturday night and so the place was a bit hectic! The service to order at our table wasn't working so I waited at the bar. Took a while but drinks were reasonably priced. Had a nice glass of mulled wine. Not a very good cider selection and the tables outside were very wobbly and a bit grimey. Again, it was Saturday night, and so this cannot be blamed on the staff! Ha. There was nice heaters outside as well which is always appreciated:)

What a find. Certainly not an obvious choice at any level. But the staff were very pleasant and polite and the food and drinks offerings exceeded expectations. Whilst the burgers could not be described as haute cuisine, they were very tasty and there was quite a selection, including several vegan options. I would definitely visit again.

The toilets were a disgrace. Sticky tables. Music so loud you can't hear a thing unless you shout. Dirty. Only saving grace, bar staff nice. Plenty of pubs near by that are better.

Decent burgers today. Decent selection of ales. My only points would be, the blue cheese on the wife's burger wasn't noticeable and you really have to time it here to not be rammed. (But that just reflects on the place being popular!) Happily revisit and recommend.
