The Westbourne Pub in Brighton and Hove

Really nice place to come for a beer. Good selection of local craft ales, cider and pale ales. Didn't try the food but smelt and looked tempting as it came out of the kitchen. Definitely coming back to find out.

Popped in here for a quick Sunday Roast, and was not disappointed. As a 1st time visitor, I don’t know what it was like before, but really liked the place. Plenty of space, not sitting on top of each other and not too noisy. Lovely food, good range of beers and very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you.

The newly revamped place looks amazing in terms of its decor, spotting very "in right now" wet-plaster effect walls and trendy lighting. And that's just it, I'm afraid. The nice cosy pub feel is gone and now that it's been opened up into one big space, it lacks ambience and that intimate je ne sais quoi it offered before. Perfect for social distancing of course. Food. We had a burger and fish chips. I was amazed by the artfully presented fish and wondered whether it would beat Rickwater's in taste, which I really like. It didn't. But it came really close. The batter needs perfecting a bit to stop it being too greasy. A selection of beers is as good as always.

A Good Sunday lunch, Great to enjoy with friends. Roast beef very tender, A great selection of Vegetables all cooked perfectly + A very large Yorkshire, with extra helpings of gravy. Enjoyed by all.

This was one of my favourite pubs and I eagerly awaited the reopening. It looks great, but not cosy or welcoming any more. It feels more like a cafe than a pub now. The Food was good even if portion sizes are down and prices up. Staff are still fantastic.

The atmosphere is great and the staff are wonderful. The food however was disappointing. I had the falafel burger and it was not great. It was extremely dry, like it had been reheated rather than made fresh.

Much improved space since it reopened, and glad to see it doing good business. Food is pretty good and the range of drinks is excellent. Staff are mostly friendly.

Highly recommendedGreat experience. I was visiting my mum in care home- sitting outside as cant go inside. Needed to use toilet so went to this place as round the corner-staff understanding and let me use.
