The food was really, really good and the ambience was lovely. It was a bit noisy at the beginning but really quietened down by the end of the meal. The food was fantastic - especially the starters. We had the duck and calamari, and the best olives I've ever had.The cocktail menu was very small - but perfect. I recommend the Six Sours with Bourbon, which was a real treat. The blonde lady serving was fantastic - she made some very good recommendations for food and was a real pleasure to speak to.The other lady, unfortunately, let the experience down. She asked us if we wanted dessert after we had our starters, dropped a knife in our glass of water and was quite rude at the end when we asked for our bill. There was a very long wait between the starters and main, which I wouldnt mind on a busy night, but it was very quiet so I was surprised by that.Unfortunately, dessert took 25 minutes to arrive and wasnt even correct. I asked for them to take it back and bring the bill and the lady gave me a lot of attitude, saying "well it took 20 minutes to make it". I said she hadnt told us that when we ordered, so she replied "well I didnt know you wanted to leave!" I think she completely missed the point and it really put a downer on an otherwise fantastic night.I will go again, but I will probably avoid that lady.

If you’re looking for a REAL quality restaurant and real delicious food, don’t make the effort to go to the six. I was highly disappointed. Don’t even want to point out what was going wrong (from beginning (entrance) till end (payment) … don’t let me mention the food!) 1 Star unfortunately. Would have loved to leave a good review, but not with what has been served today and how we got treated. And PLEASE: don’t drop me a copy-paste apology reply to this post. “Copy-Pasting” your costumers is super unauthentic. This only shows that you don’t really care about what individuals are giving as feedback. Every of the low star reviews got the same reply from you. This also tells A LOT about your service quality. (Btw: I never gave such a bad review…but I had to.)

Went for dinner and ordered a buddha bowl, but unfortunately it was literally just black rice and cooked vegetables, with some sauce on the side. I've been here before and the brunch is awesome, so I reckon the buddha bowls just need a revamp!Great friendly service though :)

Very nice restaurant. Food was delicious and well priced and the staff were very friendly and helpful. If I lived nearer, I'd eat here all the time.

Lovely decor and phenomenal food (we had A La Carte Lunch). Very very noisy though which I'm not sure how the staff could have prevented, but meant we couldn't hear one another or hear the staff when ordering. It was very busy and with the noise it was difficult to get the attention for drinks etc. Would still return.

Staff polite, efficient and well presented. Why 1 star then? Then food… starter was 4 truly tiny scallops, well cooked but the sauce didn’t really go with it, far too small a portion. The main was pork belly, expecting slow cooked pork that pulls apart with a nice crackling top, I got a slice of pork loin that must have been in the oven for days, it was simply dried out like jerky, no crackling just a slice of leather, a poor sauce and some creamed mash that was half an ice cream scoop in size and powdery in taste, I later realised it reminded me of Smash from the 1970’s and I suspect that is exactly what it was. I actually woke up at 3 am so hungry I had to get some toast. I’m a smaller than average size person not an 18 stone rugby player and these portions are way too small. If it were an 8 course taster menu it would be fine in terms of size. Didn’t mention it at the time because it was a birthday dinner and I didn’t want to kill the happy group vibe. Summary - front of house staff great, get a new chef.

Great food. Served hot and plenty of it! The service was attentive and there was no delay. Just a couple of things...we were in the dark as a bulb needed changing. The Chocolate Orange dessert needs to drop the fruit ( which looked like it came from a tin of fruit cocktail).

Beautiful brunch this morning at SIX. We booked a table for 5 but had a tag along and they were able to accommodate us. Had a wide range of dishes and dietary requirements, vegan, gluten free etc and they were able to cater for all. My vegan brother was particularly taken with their vegan hot chocolate! Dishes were brought out quickly and beautifully presented. My eggs royale were delicious but deffo should have gone brioche over sourdough. The waiting staff were lovely and attentive. I would recommend brunch at SIX to anyone passing through Brighton and not just because of their bottomless mimosas! Check it out peeps xxx

To be honest I thought this place was pretty overpriced for the quality of food. I ordered the plant based burger which was insanely dry and just very average. Drinks also pricey. My friend ordered the scollops and got just 3 for £17. Disappointing overall.

Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Food was equally as good! And let me add, their Nutella latte waa indulgent. Would definitely come back here
