Always Loved this venue but sadly let down by limited menu and patchy service.Small selection of Pasty or Quiche served with No option of side orders on paper plates with wooden disposable cutlery £5 each !!All feels a bit shabby no chic and unloved in places . Come on guys !!Thank god it’s dog friendly and the view makes up for it .

Paid a visit today as weekend was busy. Sun was out sea was beautiful. Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Very dog friendly indeed. Pastries were delicious. Staff very nice and attentive. Cant recommend Whitecliffs Cafe/bar enough. Told many family and friends already how we enjoyed our visit especially the dogs as they had doggy I ecream.

(update Feb 22 - at last visit (2021) it was limited outside seating only and snacks which is SUCH a shame, maybe they've reopened the inside by now, not been for a while as used to love having cooked breakfast and sitting inside with the sea views)Right on the undercliff walk and by a picturesque part of the beach. Beautifully decorated seaside cafe with delicious spread of food on the bar - quiches, cakes etc. Friendly staff, plenty of seating.

The worst service I’ve ever received - and I was stupid enough to give them the benefit of the doubt and go twice. Never again.Awful mediocre food that took ages to receive and was cold and overpriced. Before that, my family and I had to wait 35 minutes for our drinks (and there was only one other table there) because staff just left it on the bar. When I asked “is that our drinks?” the staff said “oh yeah”, and served them to us freezing cold before I said “no, we’re not drinking these cold can you reheat them please?” All staff were like this - the owners were worse, more concerned about schmoozing their friends and relying on the lovely scenic views rather than creating good service. Honestly an embarrassment. And I’m a local - I tell all visiting friends and family not to go here. Such a shame.

Half way through my walk, an ideal place for refreshments, had a hot chocolate, and fantastic fruit cake.No real delay in service, .....as reported elsewhere ! although the cafe was very busy at the time I visited. To my mind being busy is a tribute to the quality of the food !

Overpriced under serviced. £14+ for 2 coffees, sausage roll and a scone that was as dry as the white cliffs and in a bag. It's a beautiful location for a nice sea view but it does give the impression they are not so bothered and don't need to try very hard.

Historic Saltdean cafe with a boho vibe, good coffee, lovely pasties, sausage rolls and cakes; which are all made in house. Use the new outside stall for drinks, snacks and ice creams, or dine in by arrangement and enjoy great views. Nice staff too!

Lovely venue run by a great bunch of people. Had my late grandfathers wake here, and felt nothing but welcome despite it going on into the early hours of the morning. Super friendly and helpful staff. The place also offers live music events which are perfect as there's no neighbors. The view too is beautiful!
