The bar staff were incredible. Hannah, Maggie and Beth especially. They did a stellar job dealing with an awkward customer that was being a nuisance to several customers. Each of them behind the bar did their best to make it a comfortable experience for myself and my friends. Nothing but respect to their bar team tonight, 14/2/22.

What a fabulous vibe and lovely staff. It was a bitterly cold day. Even though neither of us a veggies we both chose a veggie/ vegan from the menu. The beyond meat burger with skin on chunky chips was yummy. 😋

If you’re a young looking 30+ year old I wouldn’t bother going here.Whilst I understand it is important to ID people I am a 31 old and got told that they now do challenge 30! Whilst wearing a challenge 25 lanyard?The young lady behind the bar not only asked for ID from myself but also some 40+ year olds. Whilst shouting across the bar, obnoxiously, how young I looked!Great way to loose business and secure the fact that we will never be returning!

Quite a rude experience, the bar tenant shouted across a quiet bar at 1pm how young my partner looked (31 years). Advised how the rules are challange 30 (when wearing a challenge 25 lanyard). And was generally quite blunt and unwelcoming when we advised that we were sorry and didn't have ID. Not a welcoming place! Which is a shame as it used to be many years ago...

It was like walking in a spaghetti western movie. Clint Eastwood would not have been out of place minus cigar had he stepped in. I checked out the cocktails, pretty good selection.The toilets are a marathon to get to but clean.

They refused to accept an European ID as proof of age. I was asked for driving license or passport to be able to order a pint.On top of that, the manager was rude and talking to me as if I wasn’t be able to understand such a simple policy for her.I never had such a problem in any other pub in Brighton where I’ve been living for nearly 5 years.It’s ridiculous, I was in shocked. There are plenty of pubs in Brighton, I recommend going to any other European friendly one.

Absolutely bang on! Come in for some late lunch and had probably one of the best burgers in my life, photo should do that justice! Staff were really welcoming and accommodating and just overall lovely! We watched one of the staff members go out of her way to help and look after an elderly couple which was really lovely to see. Would recommend this lovely, lively little pub to anyone!

There is an option for any palate. Very good prices. Food was good, nice selection of beers - I enjoyed the blue moon. We went for Sunday roasts (beef, chicken and seitan) and fish and chips. In london I would have paid £16/18 minimum for the same dishes. Happy that I could get a £6.95 children's portion. If you don't want to stuff yourself. The service very professional as if you were in a proper restaurant.
