Wolfies has always been hit and miss but I thought the answer was to go shortly after they opened in the morning when the chips were fresh. I got there about 12:10 today and was served a portion of lukewarm, tired, old looking chips. Everyone knows what old chips look like and there is no way this was a batch of 'fresh' chips. Yesterday's I guess. Just awful.

Excellent Gluten Free large fish. Probably the best I have had. However chips portions were poor, extremely tight with chips!

These were meant to be a large portion of chips to share with two people I have seen much better from better fish and chips shops some people need some more experience I'm not very impressed!

First evening in Hove and we craved some fish & chips. This place makes the most amazing ones, perfectly crispy and delicious. The staff is very friendly and works well even when it is busy. Really recommend if you want some good fish & chips!! They also have some great pies.

The best fish and chips experience I've had for a while. Amazing fresh fish with a gorgeous crispy and light batter along with yummy chunky chips.Very generous portions and the staff are really friendly and welcoming.

After a fun filled weekend away staying in Brighton's Metropole hotel, to celebrate friends finally getting hitched. πŸ’–πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘πŸŽ‰ wandering the Laines, watching a murmuration of Starlings 🐦🐦🐦 off the pier, what better way to end the whole experience than with GF fish and chips πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Best GF fish and chips I've had on the coast, crunchy battered Cod and the chips had crispy bits πŸ˜ƒ... I've missed that so much. Most Def worth a visit if you're semi in the area πŸ‘πŸ˜

I haven’t been here in a long times as last time the portion sizes were tiny. I thought I’d give it a second chance. The portion lacked a lot of chips. Probably because the girl behind the counter managed to demolish about 2 portions worth whilst I waited for my food. Putting chips in her mouth and then touching produce that’s going out to the customers. No regard for the fact there’s been a pandemic on. All the while with an open chef white and a bare stomach out. I know its tough finding staff these days. I myself was a chef for 10 years until recently, but this was just poor. The kitchen just had a clear lack of management presence and oozed un professionalism. Pretty much exactly the same as my last visit about a year ago.

Gotta give it 5 stars. Super friendly service, gluten free options for all the fried fish, and the sausages, including a beef, veal and chili bratwurst. Great sea side fish and chips, food cooked to order, a bit of banter with your batter. What more do you want?

Great chips. Usually have other things but today ordered medium cod. I know fish is now expensive, but I did expect more than I got for a Β£7 medium cod. I think I would have let it go if it were good. But it was overcooked. Chewy.I will continue to go here. But i will avoid the fish.To others: chips are great. Fish not so much. And be prepared to wait.
