Chapman's Restaurant in Canterbury

I cannot speak highly enough of Chapman's. We went fairly early (6ish) as we went with two children and the staff were very accomodating and welcoming. We ordered a selection of the small plates and sides (see picture) and each and every single one were delicious. The salmon in particular was a fave of mine and my wife loved the prawns. Some of the best UK seafood I've experienced.

The food was really nice but the sauces were masking the taste of the sea food.

After all the good reviews I had high hopes for this restaurant. Unfortunately the experience was not a good one. Sides came out before mains...broccoli side was stone cold...questionable ammonia smells from the fish...and no interest from the absent manager/ owner who was apparently onsite but refused to come and speak with us. No reduction offered and we were forced to pay the full bill for mediocre experience. Will not return.

If you like sea food, Chapmans is your best bet. The food is well prepared and presented.

5 star Hallibu, clams. It was a walk-in experience. Staff was very friendly. Food was cooked perfectly and brought at right temperature.. Awsome experience.

As my wife put it, I think that's the best meal I've ever had in my life. Amazing 👏🏼

Fantastic fish restaurant. Friendly service. Great mains. We had the cod and the sea bass, both were excellent. Dessert is large enough for two. Price is arpung 60GBP for two mains, dessert and tea. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Staff were friendly and courteous. Food was brought out promptly and perfect temperature. We had the steak and lobster and seafood platter. Both were delicious. I would definitely recommend and I'll be returning.

Really lovely seafood- kind waiting staff and a nice restaurant space. Surprised there were so many tables available. Oysters and Scallops to start were excellent. Lobster and monkfish Goan curry was delicious and the cod dish looked excellent (I didn’t try it). Thanks for a great meal.

We had a wonderful seafood dinner at Chapman's. Fresh ingredients with a nice twist to some of their dishes. The monkfish was the highlight of my meal - though the other dishes are all commendable! It's always a plus to get great service too! Would definitely recommend anyone to try if they enjoy seafood!
