Nice traditional pub with thatched roof, beamed ceilings and loads of outdoor space with a coy carp pond. Generous roasts, and filthy fries to die for. Come on a sunny weekend to eat, drink and soak up the sunshine outside. Draught selection is a bit boring but not a huge problem.

Amazing food, great service and nice location. We really enjoyed our meal here and our night out. It was well worth the visit and following a recommendation to go from someone, so I will pass it on and recommend it to you too! We left after the meal and watched the sunset across the sea at nearby Tankerton beach, just a very short drive away.

Don't get me wrong the setting is lovely, but unfortanutley the food was not great. We had booked a specific table in advance as it was a b.day meal celebration and upon arriving out table (for the 2nd time at this place) was given to someone else. The manager was quick to move the people but was quite embarrassing. Would I come here again. I would have to say not any time soon sadly.

Terrible really, got the steak twice and a kids meal. No sauce offered and it was overcooked and dry. The waitress that was servicing us was really nice, manager took all criticism personally and replying with, "oh, the chef said he must have read the ticket wrong". But the meat was definitely not fresh and probably frozen( steak was 28-35, cant remember). Your better off buying a nice steak from wherever and cooking it while watching a YouTube video on how to

What a gorgeous venue that's currently even more magical with the Christmas lights. Venue clean and tidy with very high covid standards. Food beautifully presented and very nice to eat!

Very attractive pub and now particularly since they have put up their Christmas decorations. It has a good number of tables including a mezzanine upper level. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food arrived at our table in reasonable time. We were reasonable satisfied with our food except one of our party who felt their lamb curry was rather bland, although the meat was tender and succulent and the rice had not been properly drained. That aside it was a very pleasant experience. The overall ambience was very nice indeed.

We moved to Herne Bay over the summer, and I can’t believe it took 4 months before we visited. The most cozy, enchanting pub with a wonderful garden, great beers, fantastic music and lovely staff. Will be a regular visitor over Autumn and Winter!

The first time I been here was back in 1997 and the menu was more seafood than anything else. This time I had a very special lunch here I must say. The seafood risotto was a very large portion for a main if a starter was chosen. The setting was perfect for a weekday lunch and it was not surprisingly busy. I would come back for an evening, and i should also must come back for December ambiance. Highly recommended.

Very impressed by the friendly and attentive service provided when looking after a party of 8, including 4 children. Food was very comforting after a wet day at the beach! Beautiful décor inside the building and amazing koi pond outside!
