Absolutely worth the visit fab atmosphere, food was out of this world the salt & vinager chicken wings full of flavour and juicy, ribs cooked to perfection, smoked and very saucy meat fell of the bone. Hallomi very tasty side .

We managed to get a last minute reservation for Sunday lunch - 26th Feb and absolutely loved it!We had the chicken and the veggie roast - both absolutely scrummy.I loved the surroundings, very cosy even on a sunny day! Staff were friendly and helpful.Highlight of the visit was the free Sunday lunch for our dog - she couldn't believe it - unlikely we'll be able to walk passed the Rock Lodge without trying to get back in 🤣Would definitely recommend!!

Lovely evening at the Rock Lodge, very cosy and the food was superb (we had the Tomahawk steak and the Cod steak. Ruby looked after us and was outstanding. Highly recommended

·

Terrible service and overpriced for Sunday lunch. We waited over an hour for our main course and the staff just didn't seem very motivated. We wouldn't go back for food.

Bartender and the waitresses were very attentive, they both had the right attitude which is always welcomed by walk in customers like myself tonight. The bartender made me a tequila sunrise, by checking out the recipe online as he honestly admitted to have forgotten the recipe. We like honest staff 👍 I absolutely loved the ambiance, cannot call it quirky yet felt very homely with sheepskin on the seats, fresh flowers on the tables and on the bar, candles and softlighting turned the place into a pub-restaurant cosy local with an alpine feel, but yet romantically special. You must try the smoked salmon in lobster bisque, on the bar menu. The kitchen staff make their own bread too. Anything home made on the menu is highly successful and recommended. Even impressed with the candle lanterns and the quality of serviettes.

Wonderful freshly cooked food. Huge portions of scrummy roast dinner followed by a Café gourmand (so unusual to get in the UK) Service was a little slow but it was pretty busy. Extra star if CG was served with a coffee and the music wasn't so loud.

This was a busy Saturday night, I advise you book in advance. The food menu is limited downstairs. I ordered the duck poutine it was delicious, highly recommend it.Good work

Just been for Sunday lunch today after recommendations from friends, we shared the shoulder of Lamb which was very tender, a lot of it with a good variety of vegetables, washed down with a very nice Mojito, All staff were very friendly. There's an excellent drinks menu as well, I can definitely recommend the Rock Lodge and I'll be returning soon.

Had a first date here, and I got there early. The staff were very amenable when I asked if we could have a slightly better table, even though online it said there was no availability upstairs. The setting, food and service here was second to none, my only complaint if I had one was that it got very hot upstairs, which I just assumed was down to the company ;-) but then I felt silly for not asking if we could open a window. Someone else did, and it was fine. This will definitely be one of my go-to places for a fine dining experience with a bit of a difference.

PERFECTION! Staff are lovely, knowledgeable with where wines comes from and taste, recommend food and the place is immaculate. Food is amazing.Definitely recommend this place.Decorated beautifully. They were very accommodating with my 2 and a half year old, but more targeted for adults.Lauren and Harry looked after us and were very friendly.
