I came here for a meal with my family. We were booked for 6.30pm, however, we were phoned earlier in the day and asked politely if we could move our reservation forward due to staff shortages from Government self isolation rules. We agreed and arrived earlier at our new time. You could see the restaurant was packed -I suspect being half term and all. There were also large printed notices at the entrance informing us of the earlier closing time - so anyone walking in without booking would have seen. Our meals were tasty and with everything going on the staff remained helpful and pleasant - despite receiving abuse from other rather rude customers. I was personally shocked at how some members of the general public behave in all honesty! Rude & swearing. If you are not happy - go somewhere else instead of ruining everyone around's time and abusing employees.Although not the most amazing meal I have ever eaten out - you get what you pay for and 5/5 for effort from the staff in putting up with such rude, unempathetic, ignorant customers.

Due to staff shortages an earlier booking at another restaurant was cancelled so I booked a table at Table Table for 5/15pm. On our arrival at 5/15pm we joined a queue of potential customers waiting at the maitre'd's stand to be expectantly shown to a table. After waiting 10 minutes, more expectant customers filling the foyer to capacity had me and my wife heading for the bar as no-one had come to receive us. We ordered a glass of wine and sat in what can only be described as sub standard seating and drank our wine still awaiting said maitre'd who never arrived until my wife went and found him. No apology, no reference as to why we and others were kept waiting but he did lead us to a table where we waited as did many others around us. The staff were rushing off their feet and after a further wait of nearly half hour I grabbed a waitress and ordered two fish and chips. We had been lusting for a simple plate of fish and chips all day only to be told by the young apologetic waitress... The fish fryer was broken but we could have scampi instead. We had been there in excess of 50 minutes and decided to leave and buy the fish and chips at a local shop and eat them at home.. The décor was tired and the tables were greasy and I noticed there was no dress code with men in their dirty working clothes, one guy in particular wore a shoddy track suit with his trousers tucked into his socks. I did eat at Table Table some years ago and noticed a serious decline in both service and hygiene but cannot comment on the actual food as we never eat.

Very disappointed! Call just 1 hour before my group booking was due to sit down to be told due to staff shortages they had to cancel! Family have already left to come down. I don’t feel an hour before a booking is adequate to cancel they must have known earlier of the shortages. Terrible service.

Great service waitress was very accommodating to our various needs and modifications. Food was nice although one of us had the vegan lentil hotpot and for around £10 it was 70 per cent potato and a small amount of hotpot. My steak was cooked medium rare and I swapped chips for salad and that was lovely although my other half complained the chips were a bit unexciting with his burger which I agreed with (sort of looked like the chips you get at the end of the night).

Really impressed with the breakfast here, all cooked fresh to order in the fry-up. Continental bar was well stocked, though the juice should have been topped up before we finished.

Food was nice and I really enjoyed it but what made it better for me was the service. The service by the staff was amazing and I genuinely couldn't have expected more, they understood our northern sense of humour and overall they were very friendly.

Food was really good. Service was nice. Our friend was taken ill at the resturant and the first aider took really good care of him until the ambulance arrived . They also managed to keep us informed of what was happening. Thank you table table.

I went with a friend last night, we hadn't booked. But managed to get a table. Someone served us but didnt write our order down. We waited ages for our starter. I asked where it was and he quickly brought it like he had forgotten. People got their mains before we did that had come in after us. We waited an hour and twenty minutes and still no mains. I asked a few times with hardly any response. So in the end we left with no food. Wont be returning. Really terrible .
