Kashmir Tandoori in Canterbury

My son had a table booked with some friends, they waited 25 minutes for there table before deciding to just walk away as there was still no sign of being seated. Judging by other reviews however I think they had a lucky escape as the food, decor and cleanliness sounds diabolical

It's not fair when you show certificates certify you as the best chef For 2014.I think you need inspection update because your food mosely frozen The food quality very poor I ordered by Deliveroo.I am sure you have random chef just add spices on the pan, without trying the food before sending it.

I've been to several Indian restaurants in the UK, But this is the first time where all the food i ordered was worse than expected in an Indian restaurant. We ordered a Very Hot Chicken Tandoori Mirch Masala and we received a red coloured curry without chicken and when we asked the waiter where the chicken was even he was shocked speechless and he took the dish to bring it back with chicken in the same dish.The second order was a Tandoori Chicken and HALF THE CHICKENS PORTION WAS MISSING!! The pappad was burnt, The Peas Rice was soggy with frozen green peas. The food was bland and their famous "Very Hot Chicken Tandoori Mirch Masala" wasn't even the slightest bit spicy. It was just full of paprika powder.The chutney was sweet and packed with sugar without any spice.The butter naan was just braan (bread + naan) with a piece of butter in the middle of it which wasn't even spread out.I might've been unlucky on this day as the award winning chef might have taken a day off but I realised only after leaving the restaurant that the award was given almost half a decade ago.

What can I say about this place, you walk in and are greeted with decor from decades past, the place is in need of an update. The music in the background to set the mood is a nice touch however the leftover onion that was still on my seat was not. The tablecloth was frayed and dirty and service was pretty slow baring in mind there was only one other table seated. The food was comfortably the worst curry I have eaten steer clear of the shashlick it leaves you quicker than it enters. One spark was their mango chutney was pleasant. Would unfortunately not recommend.

Told it's a good place to eat with tasty food. Agree to this and the waitress who served the table was nice and helpful. I was told look at for the man at the front who will try to rush you and speaks rudely to you if you're of the same colour. Had the experience with him as you can hear him speaking so polite to the other tables.I would go again if he was not there!!!

Even though it turned out that it had been my mistake when I ordered online, they offered to rectify it free of charge, and made two deliveries in the process. Exceptional service. Food was great, too! Definitely recommend.

I don't know if this place has changed hands recently or not. We went there last night out of desperation for somewhere to go, not expecting very much if past experience was anything to go by. However we had the best meal we have ever had in there. It was really tasteful and enjoyable. Everything we had was cooked to perfection. The service has improved tremendously and we look forward to going again. Kashmir Tandoori - you made it a great night for us. Thank you.

Nice food and behaviour of the staffs are also fine. Didn’t have the chance to get inside the restaurant because of COVID-19 rules so can’t comment about the inner atmosphere.

A brilliant twist on traditional Indian flavors. Everything was presented delightfully. The drinks were flavorful and the food choices far better. For a conventional Indian feast, attempt this restaurant. We were fortunate enough to meet the staff member named "Keith" and that really enhanced our experience at this great place!! WOW, what an excellent service he provided and the way he dealt with us. Indian food redefined. There is nothing where you can discover wrong. be it administration, food presentation. This place is good. Well worth a visit or two, or three ... we keep coming back.
