Lanna Thai in Canterbury

A great restaurant: delicious Thai food, reasonable prices and a delightful waitress with quick and considerate service. Would highly recommend.

Nice Thai restaurant and a great change of pace from the usual restaurants around Canterbury.The food is tasty, the staff is friendly, device is good, and they're accomodating with requests.I requested sugar free vegan meal and they were able to accommodate me.There's vegan and vegetarian options.

Great service from attentive and positive staff. Food was excellent, especially the mushroom Tom yum soup. Lots of excellent vegan options!

Food was nice.... something different flavors....if you wanna taste some different foods recommendable...

Great food! We ordered some authentic Thai noodle dishes for takeaway and we weren’t disappointed. The flavours were excellent, and we didn’t have to wait long at all for it to be ready. The service was outstanding and very friendly. Would highly recommend, and have already gone back for another order today. Our new go to!

Lovely food and lovely welcoming service. I took my 10 year old son for his first experience of a Thai restaurant and they were very good to ensure that they understood his taste for spice - one of those extra little touches that made this stand out. My vegetarian daughter was pleased to see so much choice (and not just the usual tofu and bean curd options) and as a first year student at Canterbury Uni vowed to make regular visits to Lanna Thai (especially as there is a student discount night). Myself and my other daughter (we eat anything) loved the taste of everything too!

Really disappointed with our order. We ordered a few things and they were all less than what expected. The Pad Thai was really bland and tasteless. It lacked any sauce, just looked and tasted like boiled noodles. The Panang curry arrived half empty as you can see on the images. The BBQ ribs were just dry. The only good thing I can say is that the Pad Thai portions were big. I am really disappointed as based on the reviews we thought it was a good quality 😔

Let me stress that there isn't any problem with Lanna it's just a little different to Thai restaurants closer to home. Although the food was lovely and fresh and perfectly cooked it lacked flavour.The sauces with the dishes are very subtle to the point that they are not what I consider to be Thai dishes.

Lovely and friendly host, food was very good, the atmosphere is very relaxed. Would definitely come back with friends if I ever visit Canterbury again!
