Fantastic seafood restaurant in prime location next to Herne Bay pier, serving tasty seafood tapas. Stripped-back interior and plenty of outdoor seating.

The best food I had in a restaurant by mile in a while. Good value for money. The staff made me feel special by going over and above to make a spacial sauce for me. The Caribbean spaghetti and fish with sauce was tasty and just fab. My wife was also very complimentary of the vegetable lasagna.Thank you to all the staff, we'll surely be coming back again.

What a lovely surprise to find such a good restaurant near the pier. Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection and served by friendly and helpful waiters. The menu consists of small dishes of different tapas and paella. 2/3 tapas per person is sufficient, Kids menu £5 with no dessert which is not needed really. Would love to come back to try the paella.

Here is the message I sent to the owner on my arrival back home:Just wanted to thank you and all of your staff for a very pleasant visit to your restaurant yesterday. From the outset we were greeted by a very polite young lady who apparently was new to the restaurant but already doing a great job. We initially sat out side with our dog, two ladies put up a parasol for us and we ordered our food. Shortly afterwards it started to rain at which point we were invited inside and sat downstairs. Our food was great, came up in good time, we were not rushed and by the time we left the downstairs was pretty much full and had 4 well behaved pooches under the tables. It was a nice atmosphere and I could here all the kitchen banter which was actually great to hear, they seemed a cohesive and organised team. I will of course leave a positive review for you and will be coming back to try some more of your tasty food.I read numerous reviews, a few of the comments were frankly so far a way from what we experienced it's hard to believe and reading between the lines on some of them, they just seemed to be mean spirited people just moaning for the sake of it. It was certainly not our experience. Without exception every member of staff we came across was excellent, friendly and doing a great job.

Exceptional food, very talented chef, superb selection of drinks and friendly knowledgeable staff. The perfect restaurant. Very hard to beat value for money for fresh sea food and sublime desserts too.

I really hate leaving less than excellent reviews but I was so disappointed with this restaurant I feel compelled to. My mum, sister, brother in law and I went there for lunch. Three out of four meals were excellent. My sister's cod wasn't cooked properly so the waiter took it back to the kitchen and after quite a long wait came back and offered her another piece of cod or another choice of meal. She chose another piece of cod. Another lengthy wait by which time we had all finished. My sister was given another piece of cod and that was it! Nothing else! She protested that she had returned the whole meal and was eventually given another meal which was delicious but she has to eat alone. My brother in law ordered the Neat and Tidy dessert which was apparently their take on an Eton Mess. This turned out to be three meringues sandwiched together with aerosol squirty cream and some strawberries which frankly was a disgrace for the price in a restaurant of this quality. The three stars are for the main course which was delicious but the whole experience was ridiculous and there was no apology or reduction in the bill

Stumbled across this lovely little place on our visit to Herne Bay.The service was warm and professional and we always felt like we were at the forefront of the staffs' mind. Decor and ambience was wonderful artwork, wooden floor/furnishings was very in-keeping with the personality of the bay.Food was extremely tasty and full of flavour that was very balanced yet stimulating for the taste buds. Also very well priced. Was the highlight of our day trip out of London and worth coming here just for the food. Will be going again to introduce new friends to great sea food and hopefully go early enough to enjoy the beach as well.

an absolute gem! Very well cooked seafood and fish. Better food and less snobbery than most restaurants in the nearby Whitstable. Price is very reasonable for what you get and very happy to accommodate behaved children.

A frigid New Year's Eve became warm and welcoming on stepping into Le Petit Poisson. Snuggled by a wood-burning stove we enjoyed a fine lunch handsomely presented. Service was attentive but not overbearing....
