Felt ignored by staff who were more interested in chatting than serving.£7 for a soda water and diet coke. Utter joke.

After a long day of walking around the lovely Canterbury it was nice to come and settle in for a pint or two.Traditional English pub, great pint of London Pride, the only cask ale they had, and although we didn't eat, the menu looked good.Very dog friendly and also a warm welcome for humans too 😁Currently sat on a very comfy leather sofa, bliss

A big roadside pub on a busy street, quite central but heading out of town. Handy for the station, if like me, you just miss a train and have an hour to kill. There really aren't many other open pubs in this part of the city. The pub had wooden beams throughout and would probably benefit from splitting the pub into a couple of bars.Numerous fonts selling countless brands of lager, cider and Guinness. Two handpumps with just one on use and that London Pride - BORING!Outside drinking area seemed OK but on a noisy road.

Fairly standard pub in oldish building. The one ale was in reasonable condition. Can't comment on the food as didn't try any. Competent enough pub but couldn't see any reason to go out of my way

This place is great! Super friendly staff, nice old fashioned pub, beautiful old building, very clean room, comfy bed, all the bits and bobs you could hope for with at such budget rates. Total bargain. Really happy with everything.

The food was fabulous. Beef = pink in the middle: pork = melt in the mouth with wonderful crispy crackling. All vegetables also cooked to perfection... NO soggy cabbage or watery carrots here!We will be back.

Wonderful 700 hundred yr old beamed Inn room.lovely considerate luxury freebath items, warm friendly staff and excellent location. This room was worth much more! Great shower and toilet room. Bed so comfy I slept like a log breathing in the aged oak smells coming from the beams

This pub is friendly and welcoming.I'm not a local but sometimes I pop in before my train comes.Whether it's coffee or alcohol, quiet or busy, it's a pleasant experience. The crowd is a good mix and people are happy to chat, if that's what you want.Jeremy and his team do a great job. And I forgot to mention that the food is delicious too!I recommend you give it a go.

Nice atmosphere and great place to have a drink and a bite. Loved the Jamaican food they had this Friday!

We found this Hotel very accommodating. We were welcomed when we arrived with the host allowing us to check in a little earlier. The room was beautiful, with all the tutor features restored yet a modern and fresh feel. The bed was also very cosy. In relation to locality, this is situated close to Canterbury East Station (3 min walk) and the landlord recommended a beautiful riverside walk that takes you into the city centre. I highly recommend this accommodation, we will surly return.
