Rude staff and cold foodI needed to get some shopping and decided to pop in to the café for something to eat as there where only a few other customers in there. To start off i waited 5 minutes at the till before deciding to look round the corner to see if i could see anyone.I found a members of staff on there phone at the back, who looked annoyed that i had interrupted them.I ordered fish and chips and a coffee. Both The coffee machines where not working so i let the member of staff know who came to empty the coffee grounds, when she opened the door on it loads of little flies came flying out so I didn't end up drinking the coffee as that put me off. There where a lot of dirty tables that needed clearing and a few staff members but no one seemed to be doing it.The food took about 10 mins. The chips looked like they had been under a heat lamp for about 2 hours and where only slightly warm. I asked a member of staff called Shenna if i could speak to a manager she huffed in a very rude way and said "why". I told her my chips where cold and she said she was a manager. She snatched the plate from the table mumble something under her breath a walked back into the kitchen. 10 minuets later came back out slammed it on the table and walked off without saying a word. The chip where fresh but the fish was stone cold and had obviously just been sitting on the side while the chip where cooked. I wont be going back and it put me off doing my shopping there again.

They are getting back to business so can't always serve hot food but provide friendly service and decent refreshments. I enjoyed tortilla chips and my husband liked fish and chips.

I would review the food, if they had any, I would also review the staff, if they were friendly. Unfortanutely there isnt any minus numbers I can put. I would also review the soft drinks if the machines weren't broke, so instead they said to me to get an apple juice or orange..Tables are filthy to, someone please remind me how this cafe is still open!!

I was left feeling bemused when lady at the till (giovanna) said I couldn't replaced my fried bread with toast on my big breakfast. I had popped in as waiting for a family member was having an operation at the nearby hospital. I usually use Maidstone Morrisons and they substitute and replace no problems. Surely toast is easier to do than fried bread to.

The Covid precautions were good but the food was really bad. One lunch was unedible and was sent back.

We ordered 2 breakfast brunches and they came out within 2 minutes of sitting down. The bacon was brown and mouldy. The food was like warm at best. When we asked about it, we were told that was normal. This was easily the worst food I’ve ever eaten. It looked like a plate of slop. It wasn’t fit for consumption by a dog. When asked for refund, they said we had to pay for toast and drinks. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you like awful food and salmonella.

This had really gone downhill towards the end of 2019 - often closed early or out of stock. I have been in a few times this year and things have definitely improved however. It's a café/eatery attached to a super market so not fine dining but they have a decent range, with good sized portions at a reasonable price.

Not great at all ...if you want cold scrambled eggs on hot/warm toast then go ahead ... Have made the store aware of this problem twice and never seems to change for the better.Poor management would be my guess.Avoid.

It's OKBearing in mind this is a little branded cafe, attached to a supermarket, it's fine. They're not trying to be a bistro or provide any sense of fine dining experience. If you're looking for an alternative to Wincheap rush hour traffic, or just some cheap, edible grub then there are worse places and few alternatives nearby. The food is a solid 3/5 - bit meh but the prices seem more than fair considering. Menu is short but varied but with nothing exotic or surprising; fish & chips, chicken burger, spag. bol. etcCoffee and soft drinks pump out of a machine, cutlery and condiments you can grab yourself as you leave the cafeteria style counter. The tables are a bit sticky at times but the decor is bearable - it does feel a bit like an Ikea showroom though. The reason this gets a 4 is because I've never encountered a member of cafe staff who wasn't polite, helpful and friendly.if nothing else it's consistent.
