Ocean Fish Bar in Canterbury

Fish was absolutely saturated in oil. Pretty inedible. Chips were okay. Be aware - cash only.

If I could give zero stars, I would! Absolutely minging. Chips and batter over cooked and fried in old oil. Avoid this place 🤮

Have always used the Ocean Fish bar as our go to takeaway. Well cooked delicious fish and good portions, and good prices as well. Plus the owners are always friendly and welcoming. Rob, Ness and Andrew

It's ok. Was really good but since new owners, for me at least, the fish is overcooked making the batter hard and the fish inside dry. A pity as it was convenient as it is near where I work.

Went at 5.30pm on a Friday evening. Chips were lovely. Ordered 2 large cod, and although the fish tasted nice, we felt they were small for a large cod, and too much batter.

Never tried this chippy before but I can truly say I won't be using them again. The chips were hard and manky tasteless and really dry. The chips I believe were left over from the night before and they had recooked them when they opened at 5 when I got there. They were disgusting worse chips I've ever had Ocean fish bar your food is not good. Will go elsewhere for better quality food. I called them and they wouldn't refund my 2.50 unless I took the chips back. I'm not picking em out the bin.. AVOID...

Very tasty and well cooked. Cheap OAP cod and chips. Prices are good too.
