Old Neptune in Canterbury

Wonderful cosey pub right by the sea, staff were all very friendly and the food was some of the best I'd ever had. Also Dog friendly, so our 5 month old could relax with us. Will definitely be going back the next time we visit Whitstable.

Great place for a bank holiday pint on the beach, packed with happy punters shovelling beer & fish & chips down their necks. Perfect

A lovely place to stop for a drink. I think that it's 4 stars because we felt that we were rushed, but then again it was Bank Holiday. Food is solid fare.

Great location, busy on a Friday, recommend booking if you want to eat at a table. Only 2 real ales on at the time however nice pub

I've been drinking in the Old Neptune on and off for about 20 years, and it remains one of the best and quirkiest pubs in southern England. It's always had a mixture of locals and day trippers so it's normally quite lively. It's a bit snug inside in these Covid times, but they've invested in tables and canopies for the beach, so if you're a bit wary of smaller venues, there's lots of seating outside. It's a great pub, and worth the visit. This was the exterior on Christmas Eve, 2021.

Lots of seafood and lots of chips at this old beach side pub. Celeb photos and history hanging on the walls. Friendly service. Nice local beer.

Love this place. Always busy. Wonderful to be able to drink on a beach, and kids rate the food options. Cosy inside - lunch specials. Best dressed crab I've ever met. Only downside is limited beer selection (could use more local / guest ales)

The staff are helpful and service is good. Food is nice but isn’t really that special - ours were served in takeaway boxes as we were outside, on the other hand, you get nice views when sitting outside. I would recommend this place to people who enjoy nice views and don’t really care about special, different food. It is also a nice place to sit outside with your dog.

Great food and good selection of drinks. Very very busy but didnt detract from our visit. Fish was huge and burgers were great. Will be back again 😉
