Really lovely staff and great portion sizes.

Classic British fish and chips place - strongly recommend. Great friendly service and perfect portion sizes (read: large!).

I don’t deserve to eat microwave chips and cold fish for £8.10.

Used all of the ozzies in East kent, allas they were five star, but in recent times, I'm not sure why, the taste of old oil, putting your fresh fish in the cabinet on top of chicken, no thanks, I'm vegetarian. . . . Strict veges beware!!!!

Best fish and chips in Canterbury area, parking is a pain but we'll worth the effort, best value too.

We decided to revisit Ossie's after a pleasant previous experience (and our usual fish shop was closed 😉) but to say we were extremely disappointed is to say the least 😞. The service was not very friendly (unlike the last time) as the staff seemed very overwhelmed by the amount of customers. There was a bit of a wait which wasn't a concern as we always feel that good food takes time. But when the food did arrive however, it was absolutely disgusting. The chips tasted day-old and the fish was dry and tasteless. This was very disappointing to the entire family. We felt as though the oil used was old and was in urgent need of a change. To top it all, the whole lot was disgustingly oily. Needless to say, we were not impressed. The whole lot was inedible and went straight to the bin.We will certainly approach this place more cautiously in the future.

My 11 year old boy attending a birthday party. Not a cheap endeavor but the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking was tricky as it is very limited. Only 4* because the toilets were not working and the boys had to pop off into the woods. The girls did not want that option.

It’s everyones most loved dishe, and quite possibly the greatest coupling of all time. But it’s also one of the hardest to get right. As such, Canterbury'’s finest fried fish is lost in an ocean of greasy mediocrity, and its chips in a sea of sogginess.But like pearls in oysters, a good chippy does appear once in a while — one where the fish is always fresh, the batter crunchy and the chips fluffy.Ossies provides high quality and reliable freshness of fish. But while it’s the fat, flaky fillets of moist cod encased in crunchy and chewy batter that earn Ossie the best in Canterbury. From its beach shack interior to the chirpy, chatty service it has the whole deal. You also need to try their range of pickles — choose from eggs, shallots or red onion rings.

Well if that’s the best in Canterbury, I do feel sorry for the locals. Had fish, chips and curry sauce. The sauce was stone cold. Chips where not bad tasting but lukewarm. Fish same temperature and batter wasn’t cooked all the way through. Also was only one person ahead of me. So would hate to see what it would be like if it was busy.
