Shad Restaurant in Canterbury

Food was ok......when it eventually turned up.... took a couple of hours to materialize.....Menus were sticky......simple fixGents loos were a bit beaten up...and apparently no-one knew what a jug of water was.... but fetched us 9 glasses of water instead ❗❗❗Probably won't be going back

Food is decent, the 2 hour delivery wait is not

Superb restaurant. If only it would show up when searching for a sit down curry in Herne Bay , which sadly it doesn't

Really friendly staff, amazing food AND they do an alcohol free Cobra lager. Can't fault it 👍🏽

Polite and friendly staff however food lacked any real flavour. Clean and modern decor. Id go 2 up on how hot you like your food here.

My wife and I went to the Shad in Herne bay,shocking is probably the best way to describe our experience without being vulgar. The service was terrible the servers didn't know the menu, the restaurant didn't have any fresh juice at all other than J2O which the owner argued with my wife that it was fresh juice,they sent a member of staff to the shops to purchase some for us, however we were happy to leave it there and try to at least get good food as we had booked on reviews (don't ever do that)we received our food approximately 50 minutes from ordering the Bombay potatoes were stone cold inside and very hot outside, the owner then argued that everything is freshly made to order and refused strongly that they had been microwaved. We left without paying for anything we had had . Very disappointed to say the very least.

We were blown away by the service and superb quality of food.I would just like to say a huge Thank you to the Shad for going above and beyond in a very difficult time for all of us. I really did appreciate their honesty around the extended wait for the order and furthermore their generosity and politeness that came with the order. It’s very safe to say, you have new customers!We really value your hard work and dedication in these turbulent times - thank you
