One of the few places doing live music. Nice staff, decent drink. Food looks fine but haven't tried it.

Nice little pub, decent beer selection.

·

Very young pub but we did visit on a Friday night not what we were looking for but good music & board games which I've never seen before.

·

Very pleasant young lady behind the bar, nice beer and a nice fire in the main bar, quiet for the time of day but still nice.

We had some nice pints here in the afternoon and returned in the evening for some more and some excellent food! Highly recommend the halloumi (best I have had)! The service was quick and friendly. Would return.

Great night out in Canterbury alternative type of disco with some old classic music

Really great place. Highly recommended. Drinks menu has something for everyone. I personally liked the locally-brewed cask porter. The desserts are special too, with the cheesecake particularly worth trying. I can't comment on the mains food as we have yet to try that menu. Also, the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly.

As always The Black Griffin provides among the friendliest service going in Canterbury, always a warm greeting with nice chat.We tried the Outlaw Street food which is a new addition to the pub, the food was amazing, the Hot AF wings were particularly good, and are indeed pretty hot! Would highly recommend the black Griffin, for a pint or the food. Great atmosphere.
