The Cherry Tree in Canterbury

I used to frequent this place in 2001-02. Great value back then on a Thursday night. Cherry shots!

Great drinks and great staff

Good atmosphere with cheap drinks and the staff are friendly, toilets are a bit small and dirty but otherwise a good spot for a drink

Decent drinks but can get very crowded quickly - so totally depends what kind of a night you’re after!

The Cherry Tree is my favourite pub in Kent - if it's ever open. Trying to get in to the Cherry Tree is so unpredictable - they close 2 hours before their closing time on Google and on the sign on their door. If you can get in I love it and it would always be my first choice! But it is actually open for about 3 hours a day! If they were *actually* open for the hours they claim they are I'd say they're the best pub in Kent, but they don't, so I won't.

I got too drunk and was rude to a to a young Viking. I would like to apologise as it was my sons 18th and I deserved all those gin and tonics

Such an iconic pub in Canterbury, mostly for its student population. Out of term time, it's quiet, relaxing and offers a fab range of drinks. Friendly staff, outdoor seating and a jukebox too.

Went there today, top notch on the quality booze, top notch on the covid safety precautions. All around great! The Pig cocktail is good. If you are thinking about trying it, do it!

I have such brilliant and warm feelings for this pub. Drank there in the 80s when visiting my then girlfriend (now wife), and it was a good honest boozer with tasty bar food. Drank the place dry on my wife's graduation day. Continue to visit when we can. Beer well kept.
